Is there any new firmware update available for HTC amaze 4G?

Hi, I am a amaze 4G user and really happy with the mobile but still I wanted to know whether any software update is available for mobile or not? I think In this mobile there is Android OS, v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) isn’t it? So is there any other version comes up for the mobile that I can install it? Please let me know so that I can install it whenever I want as I am to fascinated to know everything about any such thing, I love to do that.

And the most important thing that I would like to know about the phone’s firmware is like if suppose we are making updating my our self so will it void the warranty of the device? Here again I am not sure and that’s why wanted to know about It, any suggestion regarding this would be appreciated.

- Yeah you are right as the phone comprises the gingerbread, and I think the latest one is the Ice cream sandwich update for the smartphones, I am not sure whether it is been available for your mobile or not. You should ask technical support.

I think why don’t you try to search it on your own from your phone itself? There is always a option in the phone as update the firmware, you just need to click on the software and it will start searching about the newer firmware for the mobile and while it will get any, you’ll be prompted on the screen for the updating the software. At that time only you can see which software is installed currently and which one is available so that you can get idea about it. Thus after clicking on update firmware all the thing would be update in the phone and you’ll get newer version installed in the mobile, nothing additional steps required to install the OS. In fact according to me this is the smartest way to install the updates in the phone.

But make sure as you must have to have well working internet connection in the phone as the process will interact with the internet for sure. And you can keep back up of the data otherwise it may be lose.

I am agree with the above user but if suppose you are willing to this as well, then why don’t you install the whole firmware in the mobile rather updating the older one?

See according to me you should go and get the update from the service center rather than doing on your own, and it seems that you must not be aware even about how to install newer version rather how to update the current version.

Though I am not sure whether the phone warranty would be void or not but the thing is like if you are getting free service from the service center itself then why you want to do this on your own? As the mobile is still in the warranty period you won’t have to pay anything to then for updating the firmware.
