Sony Xperia neo V reboots on itself and the time and date changes

I have recently bought a Sony Xperia neo V and the problem that I am experiencing form yesterday is that the phone is booting on itself and then the time and the date are changing automatically. I don’t know what is wrong with it and it has been working fine by now without any such problem. Is there anyone who has faced the same problem and has an idea about the same? Any suggestion for this will be appreciated.

Yes even I am facing the same problem it happened to me when I was listening to music and by now it has happened for the 4th time I was ignoring it in the morning but then it is rebooting now and then I have also found that when I keep the phone in the airplane mode than the system time and date changes occasionally. I am also experiencing improper respond to my touch. It has been just a month and it has started to come up with all this kind of problem and it is really very disappointing. I have tried to reset it several times but then the problem still exists. I don’t know what to do now. Any further help will be appreciated.

I have came across such reports in a no of forum where they have mentioned that their phone reboots occasionally even when they are not using it and it is just kept on the table as well many have said that this problem is due to the battery as if it is having some kind of intermittent bad contact. One person have claimed that the problem is solved by cleaning the phone and the battery contact point but I am not very sure about the solution if it really helps or not so if you want then you can just try it out and at least check if it helps or not. If it does not then let me know so I can help you with some other solution.

As far as I know the timing might have been changing because it may have been set to detect the time and date synchronization from the mobile network provider and when your phone reboots or when you set it to the airplane mode then the phone might not be able to get the information from the network in order to synchronize the time and date and as far as the touch problem I think that there might be some kind of hardware problem as it has been the most common problem that has been found in such cases.

I think that if the phone is rebooting on its own then it does not make any difference whether you are using it or you have just kept it like that and the date and time should not get changed even after the reboot because as far as I know that on a reboot the uptime in the phone status is reset to zero automatically and then on start it should be able to sync the date and the time correctly. I will suggest you to make a firmware update to 4.0.A.2.368 and just check if it is helping. If it still does not help then let me know and I will try to suggest you some other solution.

If you are facing touch problem than I think you should try to do a hard reset and then see if it helps but then if it does not then you can try a firmware update but if even it does not help then there might be surely some kind of hardware problem and you will have to get it replaced. Just try to perform the above solution and if they all don’t help then just contact the service center and they will fix the problem.

I am facing the same kind of problem but then it is totally opposite to you actually I am finding that my display is very much sensitive to some changes .I have found that on just tilting the phone the light sensor automatically picks up a different lighting level and then the brightness of the display just gets change and I have been facing this since I have bought it. I had thought that there might be some settings that I have to change in order to stop this thing but then I have tried changing all the possible display settings by now but then nothing seems to be helping by now. s there anyone who is aware of such kind of case.
