The 13.3-inch ThinkPad X1 subnotebook replaces the former top model X301. Both play in the top price league and to have our test model ThinkPad X1 (NWK2NGE) from around $2500.
When Lenovo X1 installed no low-power, low CPU, but a full-fledged Core i5-2520M with integrated HD 3000 graphics solution from Intel's latest Sandy Bridge platform. There are also developed for business use QM67 chipset (remote support, security features, Intel vPro), 8 GB of RAM and also a native of Intel 160-gigabyte SSD with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit).
It is having Compact and high-quality finished. The matted, almost like neoprene surface and the high rigidity of the enclosure give a feeling of high quality. ThinkPad fans have known for years, the robustness of this notebook family to appreciate and even like the sober and timeless design. The slightly wedge-shaped and sloping toward the front casing is a magnesium alloy and has not reinforcement on the inside, unlike a roll cage. Thus, it withstands higher loads. The already-seeking peers Lenovo Thinkpad keyboard has been improved a bit the X1. It has by default a backlight and large, slightly concave keys. Prolific writers will love this solid keyboard and newcomers ask how they could ever write on a different notebook keyboard.
There are some of the things that are new for the ThinkPad, the right of the keyboard keys arranged for the volume control and the ThinkPad services. Despite the strong performance and the small case, it creates the Lenovo X1 to cool quietly and effectively. Under full load it rustles with a maximum of 1.5 otherwise inaudible to 0.2.
It comprises Ultra-modern equipment. Up to a USB 2.0 port and an audio-all the ports are located on the narrow back. The rest is just so high that the jack for the gigabit LAN cable has its place. To the right is each an interface for USB 3.0, HDMI, Display Port and eSATA / USB 2.0. N are invisibly integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a UMTS module (HSDPA 7.2 Mbit / s). A fingerprint reader and webcam are also included equipment package. However, the X1 lacks a docking port, which is surprising especially for ThinkPads and business notebooks in this price range. Even on an optical drive, Lenovo has waived. Ultimately, even though each buyer to decide whether he still needed. I think it is especially in the business sector lost of its significance.
ThinkPads are not famous for good displays. Usually they are dull and brightness at best a good average. When Lenovo ThinkPad X1 breaks with this tradition. The 180 degrees to fold back, thin 13.3-inch display (1366 x 768 pixels) is true to the reflective variety, but extremely light and resistant Gorilla glass protected. With 315 cd / m², it shines twice as bright as an average notebook display and is thus at the same level as Apple's current MacBook Pro 13.3-inch . Rather poor contrast ratio of 424:1 only suppresses the display but note something down.
The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 is in fact of new flagship Chinese company. It replaces the famous and appreciated X301, against which introduces many new features, some of which might be called radical. This computer model is essentially the "representative" Lenovo, and has excellent features in every aspect. Lenovo offers these products as "the best" on the square and this Thinkpad X1 confirm these statements, except for some crucial aspect.
Lenovo has in fact revised the design of this portable 13.3-inch, making it even slimmer. The square lines of the Thinkpads are still present, but they have been softened with rounded edges and corners are less aggressive. The chassis is always in magnesium alloy, lightweight and durable, and the screen has been added coverage with Gorilla Glass, super-strong glass that we have come to know through various smartphones and tablets.
Lenovo has also revised the keyboard, which now has a design island with rounded and concave buttons. For the first time you equip the Thinkpad also backlit keys, which are replacing the "courtesy light" present on previous models - which also could not be included in the new design. The hardware platform is very respectable, with an Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz, combined with a 7,200 RPM hard drive to an SSD or a combination of both. The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 has proved a great laptop in all aspects, except for the autonomy, where the results are below the category average. A disappointing outcome to say the least, and in fact an insurmountable obstacle that has prevented us from giving this computer to our award of "recommended product" which would otherwise have earned in full. Not cheap, but with a base price of 1,400 is a high quality product to be taken into account.
I am using the same laptop and for me, this is running without any problem. So I will surely recommend you for this and you should get that. I am using this from last many months and it doesnt shows me any issue.
