Having various troubles with Dell Latitude PP01L laptop

Hi, I am having Dell Latitude PP01L laptop in which there are various problems and which I am not even I am not able to figure out but the worst one is like while I attempt to power it up it just turns on for a few seconds and then power down, I can only assume as either there could be some problem with the battery but still I am not sure about this. Is there anyone here having same issue with this model, because when I was searching for the solution online I haven’t get any for this model and that’s why it seems that I am the only sufferer. Anyways any suggestion would be surely esteemed.

See there could be so many problems associated with the machine that cause such issue with the laptop, they could be either because of the software or because of the hardware as well. And I personally believe that you should try to test all the hardware of your laptop from any good technician and then see what they are saying about this. And it seems that you haven’t charged your laptop from so long, Isn’t It? Because the thing is like for testing the laptop even it should be started at least and for that I would like to suggest you that you should try to charge the laptop at least and then only proceed ahead.

completely agree with the above user but first of all it would be better if you mentioned the problem precisely so that we could help rather assist you in a far better way.
    • Is the battery drained completely, have you ever tried it to charge?

    • Have you dropped your machine ever from the height?

    • Have you spilled anything on your machine?

    • In any circumstances you haven’t started it from a long time?

See though whatever could be the reason but still according to me you should at least try to charge the machine so that you can understand whether there is some problem with the batter or the charger. And off course you can make use of another rather supplementary product for testing, as this way you can figure out some hardware damage as well if there is any. And at last mentioned the same here again.

as mentioned above, I would say battery is not the only concern as there could be either bad memory or the CPU, whatever it is you should test each and everything.

I was also having same problem with my laptop though it was a different model but still after such huge approach I came to know that there were some problem because of the overheating and due to that only the machine was not able to work steadily and was keep getting shutdown. Thus when I was searching for the various solution the one that I got was to apply some thermal conducting material on the CPU and the heat sink so that they can be cooled easily, and that’s why I would suggest you the same to test the hardware first and then you can also apply this.

Overheating is always been a major issue for the laptops, and when it comes to dell they are ridiculous, really, anyways you should test the machine for sure in order to get it work.

Have you ever updated any hardware in your laptop? Because it might be possible that the updated hardware is not compatible with other existing hardware.

Have you tried reinstalling the operating system in your machine, It seems that there is surely some hardware problem but still I would like to suggest you that you should also try to reinstall the operating system, because there could be some problem in the previously installed version and that was having problem with the hardware, which in turn not starting the machine at all. And while reinstalling as well make sure that you have installed it from the

it seems that there could be some problem with the hardware itself, because I have tried to charge the machine as well, but still it won’t turn up. But I am not sure whether I will get any replacement or not, but the laptop is in the warranty period.

Anyways thanks for the suggestion guys, as it was quite helpful but can you please tell me How do you diagnose the RAM problem?

As you are also aware like there could be any problem in the machine and at this moment it is quite difficult to suggest you even, but the only surest thing I can say that is like you should contact the dell support center for the same, because they have their own expertise persons over there who will assist you prior to resolve the problem in the laptop. And after all it is always recommended as to visit the service center rather than applying all the mentioned solution on your own because it may damage other hardware as well, I am not saying as they are wrong but still if you made any mistake then also it would charge you more for sure.

And as far as warranty is concern you’ll get all the services regarding the laptop free but still let me tell you as they have their own terms and conditions in which you’ll get any replacement if required.
