How to fix browser in blackberry 9850

I have bought a blackberry 9850 and everything is working fine by now but the only problem I am facing is that whenever I am trying to open my browser then it just shows a white screen and nothing else. I don’t know what to do I have already tried to reboot and check the internet setting as well but nothing seems to be helping by now. Is there anyone who has faced this problem before and has come up with a solution for the same and can help me out as well? Any suggestion regarding this will be appreciated.

You can try out the following solution. It has been proven working for many of them having the same problem as of yours:
    • Just Open the BB Desktop manager
    • Remove the battery of the phone
    • Connect it to the PC
    • When it gets connected just, click on update.
    • If the update fails, click "View other versions"
    • If you don’t have the latest OS then just download the latest software
    • Click install
    • Uncheck requesting email notifications, and then click on install update, and then click OK
    • When it shows "Reconnecting to JVM " let it be connected and then insert the battery in the phone
    • It might take 2 to 3 minutes to resume the reload and once it is completed it is done.

I will like to share that There are many people who think that the above process is a security wipe or a reset to factory using the loader so I will like to inform those people that it is really not that it is very different from the security wipe and a reset to factory using the loader using the loader. To help you in detail the security wipe and a reset to factory using the loader basically helps in just clearing the device and the configs they do not do anything to the os but the above process helps to clear the os completely and it reloads a new copy of the os and after you do this you won’t have the same problem as I have already tried it myself.

You can also identify whether you are having the same problem .What all you have to do is when you get the white screen which get stuck at the same so here you have to press down the bb key and then select the help option and if you get a error popup just click on the details and you come to know that you are having a bad webkit cod then you can very well follow the above steps to solve it out it has been a perfect solution by now to solve the white screen issue and doing a hard reset and factory reset won’t help you so people who have this problem can directly perform the same process and solve it at the first attempt.

I will like to inform the people who will be trying out the above process that you might get a 507 error while trying to reload the os in the middle of the process but you don’t have to worry much about this. Even I had faced the same problem but what I did is just waited for some minutes and then desktop manager automatically gave me a pop up saying to reconnect the phone so when I disconnected it and the reconnected it then the process continued and reloaded completely without any problem. So just keep this in mind while doing the process rather than fearing seeing the error and yes the above method really works .Best of luck.

Re: How to fix browser in blackberry 9850

I was facing the same problem and I tried following the same method and what I did is connected my phone to the desktop manager after removing the battery and then when I tried to update there were no updates and the dialog box got closed instantly after popping up the message and I was not able to see the other version as you said I will find them and when I tried to contact the BB support then they said me that they have not yet sent an update out for the 7.0 Software so I just wanted to know that will I have to get some older version like 6.0 or I can get the 7.0 from somewhere. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Re: How to fix browser in blackberry 9850

I think that you can download the 7.0 version for your device prior to this process from the net and what I have found is that you can also perform the above solution perfectly without removing the battery as well and I am saying this because I have already tried it so I don’t think that it makes any difference if you remove the battery or not and if you are bot. If you are not able to get the 7.0 version for your phone than you can very well have the 6.0 versions as well as even it is good as my friend is using it on his BB. Hope that helps.

Re: How to fix browser in blackberry 9850

I have tried to follow the above steps but I am getting the message that “A connection to the device could not be established” and ensure that the device is properly connected to the cable or the USB cable. I have already checked that the cable is connected properly and it appears to be well connected as well but I don’t know why is it showing me so and I have also ensured that every startup operations is completed and I have run the Application Loader Wizard a no of time. Any help will be appreciated.
