Re: Does android Ice Cream Sandwich available for Asus Transformer

I have searched the web "for information on official controls on ASUS ICS-the-air updates on my 1st generation transformer. Most of the information is quite old and inaccurate, so I was wondering if anyone has a link to something concrete. There are plenty of rumors about the transformer 2, the packing of four nuclei and the ICS, when their freedom, doing the rounds, but I have a 1st generation processor, and specifically wanted to know if an official ICS ASUS Update coming my way

Why do you want? What are you waiting for ICS will make honeycomb but it does not. How many people have this device and then install another launcher? I have the same applications that were installed on my own froyo Galaxy 2.2, the only difference is the size of the screen. No difference in the way it loads applications, websites, widgets, RSS feeds, just name it

With Asus does not appear in the list of preferred OEM what are the chances that the owners of transformers updates are left behind?

Also, do you think the fact that Asus has peeled the top of the file Android add your dock utility transformer will affect the ability to get updates. There was a picture of the transformer in today's stage during the presentation. I wonder how this will affect things.

I think it should do, ICS is more about phones and tablets bring together under one operating system is a minimum hardware specification again. I would be surprised if you do not see in the transformer cannot imagine that there was no update EATP ICS, was not committed to updates within something like 18 months of product launch How long has our AEPTs been now? However, even if it does, gives most of us following the end of the beggar and install a custom ROM of all kinds until then, I keep my warranty

Being a smaller company, Asus will be on top of sending updates. Note that in reality have not entered into the Android market until this version of the transformer, which I think is its first Android device.

And as for bare Asus Android actions, they did not think too many changes other than putting in some applications, the addition of a few widgets from Asus (date and time), and the customization of menu buttons. I do not see why small changes / updates that affect them the ability to upgrade their users to future versions of Android.
