USB and HDMI out ports on HTC Jetstream

    – Hi, I have recently purchased HTC Jetstream and when I was reading the specification of the phone I came to know that there are too many ports on the phone, I mean to say USB on-the-go and HDMI port. So I am very eager to use them but don’t know how, so I made a search for this and came to know about various methods. And by the way what is means by ON-the-GO support?

Anyways is there anyone having the same mobile and tried using an MHL adapter for HDMI out?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I haven’t tried that adapter with the device you have mentioned but still I have a MHL for my Samsung infuse, and It works perfectly with my device so if you are that much eager about using those ports than off course you can buy this.

But before that I would like to suggest you that you should try to get more information about the same before buying the product. But I am quite sure about this.

I am assuming there is several sort of support as the jetstream has a customized microusb connector. It can support a usual microusb cable but it also seizes a cable with an additional 5th pin for something. Must be some sort of other dock or cables coming out for it.

MHL does work thus surely you can have it for sure. I used the universal MHL adapter that T-Mobile US stores sell and it worked, but still you can have too many option rather sources to get it thus you have to choose according to your convenience.

Once I plugged in a 1 amp phone charger a MHL adapters necessitate micro USB power in, and I establish that less than an amp didn't work. But the HTC Sensation and LG Thrill chargers did the ruse.

The device lists USB external storage beneath the storage applet. But I had no luck using a USB On The Go cable (the Motorola Xoom elective cable). It didn't observe flash drives, mice or keyboards. I've asked HTC PR concerning USB host, but it's taking a long time for them to get me a reply.

By the way, as mentioned by the above user, the MHL adapter that came with my Samsung Infuse also worked with the Jetstream as long as i had the charger plugged into the MHL adapter, couldn't power itself on its own.

I have got one for myself and would like to tell you the steps that you can apply in order to connect your device to your HDTV.

1- First of all you have to connect one end of a universal HDMI cable into the MHL Adapter and then connect the other end to your TV’s HDMI port.
Note: The Universal HDMI cable is not included with your device.

2- Now connect your Travel Charger to the MHL Adapter.

Warning: ensure that you utilize the Travel Charger that was built-in with your device no matter whichever it is. If you use an unapproved travel charger, there is a likelihood that the MHL adaptor might not purpose correctly.

3- connect your Travel Charger to an approved power source.

4- And at lastly connect the MHL Adapter connector into the Power/Accessory Interface port on your device. This is the same port that you usually make use of to connect your Travel Charger.

(you can refer the IMAGE below.)

you can make use of Samsung infuse adapter in order to connect and thus that you can order from the internet, but you have to surely pay more for that, rather the best option would be to purchase it from the Samsung’s official store.

As you’ll get the original product from there.
