Does Motorola Photon 4G fault can fix by Updates

I bought this phone a week ago and want to say that this is one nice phone but recently I have noticed few issue on this phone that making me to think that should I give it back within my 30 exchange period but still I am I like this phone I was thinking when I update the phone all of my issue get fixed I hope if there is anyone here can tell me if Motorola is working on the issue to fix as I am happy with the looks and feature of the phone its only this few problem that is bugging me with using this phone .

I was planning to get one for me but now I am thinking about wait for some time and continue with my Nokia N8 for some while until the issue get fixed though I was wondering what kind of problem you were have can you specify the problem with this phone I would be glad to know that thanks

I apologies that first I didn’t mention the problem at the time raising the question but never the less I am having the following problem
• Other day I notice I had voicemail but when I was try to listen it via Bluetooth on my car nothing happen. I was using the HTC Evo 4G earlier also had the same problem but that got fixed when I update the phone considering that I was hoping the same for Motorola proton 4G

• It takes longtime to dial the number up to 15 sec and in some case it took above that this was annoying as it actually start dialing after so long

• This problem is not that big but I am use to it unable to like my Facebook account with my phone contact as in my previous HTC Evo 4G I was able to do that and if some reason if contact didn’t have the same exact name which is common I was able to manually link a contact with a Face Book account

• I also have some basic issue that not worth mentioning but Some time when I set my phone to Sprint Only option on my network then some issue goes away is that means at the time I travel phone not going to operate if I switch to Automatic .Does this mean that if you use Automatic you will have issues

• And the last but not the least the phone is frequent self-rebooting I don’t know why but my guess Is this is because apps are self-updating and that update may need a reboot of the phone

So these are the fault that I have noticed .

Well I am not the Motorola engineer and I am not sure completely but I do know moto they are working on stuff so all we need to do is keep our patient and wait for the result have some trust on them as they have been came a long way after the suffered Backflip days

I am facing the same problem as I try to listen the voicemail from my car console it won’t play and I also notice when I pair the phone with the car console its display show Bluetooth connected symbol but as soon as I hit play button on my phone the symbol disappear and it never reconnect again This is surely a design fault that Motorola needs to fix.

I don’t have Motorola Photon 4G but I thing I can help you fix this error if the Photon is set up like some of the other Motorola phones menu-wise follow this

• Go to contact and select manage accounts and then select add account and then add your Facebook account
• Now go back Go back to your Contacts list select option display group all contacts with any luck this will now show all the contacts you had before plus the Facebook contacts as well
• Then select the contact that you want to link to a Facebook contact hit option and choose link contact select a contact find the Facebook contact listing that you want to link to the contact choose the Facebook contact
That’s it keep your figure cross I think to facilitate this it would work on the menu system for the Motorola XPRT again I am hopping this would works just post if its woks

Thanks man for taking so much effort for posting this but this doesn’t woks as the menu option of Motorola proton 4G is different and I can’t find any of this option on my phone.

I am also using the Motorola Proton 4G form 2 days now and its work fine with me but I don’t use the voice mail and face book link but everything else work ok but I would like to know is this option of linking Facebook look like a great option

Select Contacts choose menu then select accounts add account select Facebook account Now go back to your contacts list select menu make sure only contacts with phones should be unchecked scroll down to the like of accounts touch account for your Facebook then select all contact select the contact that you want to link to a Facebook again choose menu -> edit contact the aging menu select option select it join contact screen showing suggested contacts and all contacts will turn up if the Facebook contact is not in the suggested contacts list, select show all contact select the Facebook contact listing that you want to link to the contact scroll through the new "joined" contact which is now in edit mode and contains multiple contacts clean up any data you wish keep in mind you cannot edit Facebook data hit save listings should now be linked

Saw this phone on the display and gone crazy I can’t wait now I am already decided to exchange my N8 with proton4G .Any confirm new about the fix for all this issue I am really hoping it’s done at least any one here can tell me if moto is already working on fixing the problem
