Sony Ericsson xperia arc is behaving sluggish

Hi, I am using Sony Ericsson xperia arc from last couple of years but haven’t got any such problem that I am having currently using this phone as it is behaving very sluggishly. Ok let me tell you first of all as I am using gingerbread in my device, so is this a reason for the cause?

1. See whenever I close any application, the whole home screen becomes too slow.
2. I can’t access another pages at that time.
   
   
3. If suppose any incoming calls are coming then at that moment I am not abl to receive them as well, though I slide the screen nothing happens.
   
   
4. Any suggestion for resolving this would be appreciated.

this is quite wired really as I have never ever heard about any such problem. but still there are some quick tips through that you can improve the performance of your device.

1. First of all always make sure that you home screen doesn’t have too many icons for different applications and games as they always uses more memory.
   
   
2. Whenever you access any application then make sure it is perfectly closed after been used, or else it just keeps running in system memory which actually occupies memory and which actually leads to slow down the device.
   
   
3. Always used to store data in SD card rather than in phone memory.

though I don’t have the same phone but still I was also having the same problem with it and after such a huge effort I came to know that It was because of the faulty application that I was running my mobile. Thus I would like to suggest you the same thing as you should try to make sure that there isn’t any such application you have installed in your device. and if you have any doubt on any application that you can simply delete it from your device.

And third party applications are the major concerning issue which causes such a problems.

are you sure as there isn’t any such hardware fault in your device, because see as you have mentioned that you are not able even touch the device, I mean to say though you touch the mobile nothing happens and you are not able to pick the call. And see I am not sure but it would be because of the touch screen sensitivity as well. thus make sure that the surface is working perfectly or else it would surely cost you more.

there might be so many other reasons that can causes this kind of problems in the device thus according to me you should try to reset the firmware that is been installed in the device.

First of all you should try with the soft reset, as whenever you do this the phone will restore all the previous settings which were actually made when you have purchased a mobile. and thus everything would be appear default as it was earlier.

But if suppose you are still getting the same problem then you should try to make hard reset as well, thus and while you are about to do this always make sure that you have taken backup of each and everything which is important to you. As after making this reset everything will be wiped out and you cannot get it back.

I don’t think as it would a hardware fault because it just happens sometimes and as the device starts running perfectly it also starts working perfectly. Anyways thanks for the replies that you have given immediately.

see you can have too many other option to test the exact situation here.

1. Make sure that there is no problem in the mobile hardware rather you must have to get it solved however, otherwise you’ll not be able to run it perfectly though you do everything.
   
   
2. If possible then don’t ever used any such application killer in your mobile as it will surely keeps running and consumes more ram.

If suppose you are still pursuing the same problem then really it is too wired and it would be better if you just update the firmware in your mobile. because that’s the only way left through which you can resolve this.

Are you sure as there is no virus in your SD card or in the mobile, because once I was also having the same problem with my phone and I came to know that it was because of those viruses only. but I am not sure about your case thus I would like to suggest you that you should try to format your SD card and then, first of all try to switch on the phone without that card and if suppose everything seems fine then you can simply insert it in your mobile. And if suppose you found any such glitches in the mobile that means there is some problem with the memory card for sure.

I think according to me you should visit supporting center and it would better option for sure, because you’ll surely get some solution from there for sure rather than finding on your own.

you should make use of application called “notification toggle” which will allow you to toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, Silent mode, Screen rotation and Flight mode on and off.

And the most important feature that I came to know about this application was like we can adjust the brightness as well. apart from this You can also put in shortcut to your favorite applications right into the notification bar.
