Sony Xperia Arc: 3G not working after changing location

Recently I bought Sony Xperia Arc from Hongkong and now I am shift to Canada. However, here I am getting a problem while using Arc. I cannot found 3G network even though I have activated 3G service in my SIM card. Therefore, to overcome this problem I have bought new SIM card but then also I cannot found 3G network. Finally I fou8nd solution that my LT15i only compatible for UMTS/HSPA 900/2100. so friend can you suggest me that I can change CDA or driver of baseband.

You know friend what are you saying to change the band compatibility. There is no option to change the band or CDA compatibility, because these products are link with hardware. If you decided to stay permanently in Canada then there is best option that sells your mobile and buys new Xperia Arc or other Xperia, which will be compatibility for 3G from Rogers.

Dude I am also facing same problem. I have bought a new Sony Xperia arc from eBay. However, this phone works on LT15i 3G and I have searched about this LT15i and came to know that in brazil only LT15a is compatible for using 3G service in Xperia mobile. Therefore, I have complained about this issue to eBay, they refunded my money and apologize their mistake, and I bought LT15a, which will work on this band.

Now next time when you go for buying, try to buy compatible 3G mode, which will work on our location frequency.

• Sony Xperia Arc LT15a works for AT&T/Rogers/Fido/Bell/TELUS frequencies
• Sony Xperia Arc LT15i works for Europe, Asia, and Africa and Australia GSM frequencies.
• Sony Xperia Arc SO-01C works for only Japan.

However, I have also found one more version LT15c but I do not know in which frequency its works. In addition, which version works in Brazil frequency?

Friend Brazil uses “a” version. Means LT15a works in Brazil frequency. Moreover, there is no LT15c version…

I have search on internet about this problem and I did not found any correct solutions. However, I came to know that in Brazil frequency only LT15a version works. Therefore, I will recommend you to switch your mobile to LT15a_3.0.1.A.0.145_NAM. Hope after switching it will work. However, this LT15i is linking with hardware problem then I am sorry I cannot help you.
