Installing Bluetooth Module in Acer Aspire 8943g

I was wondering if anyone here has done or observed the installation of a Bluetooth module on an Acer Aspire 8943G. I have the 8943-9319 and am looking to do this update. Need to know what I'm getting. I have an electronics background and can be welded.

If you have observed or perform this mod, what was the degree of difficulty? There was a lot of dismantling? From what little I've read about this mod, the module just plugs into the appropriate slot on the motherboard. Also, besides installing the module, just install the appropriate drivers not? Or is there something more than that?

There are about two alternatives for this module on eBay from the identical brand, the AR3011 is a Bluetooth 3.0 module for 44.99 and the other is the Acer Bluetooth 2.1.

Acer Aspire 8943G has all programs which are required. If this car replace the wifi card in place and (if it is a wifi + Bluetooth package), otherwise if it go somewhere else.

Surely it would be nice to have Bluetooth for $ 30 additional if not much is really compatible and does not cause a degradation of the OEM wifi card. I see in your firm who took his 8943G 16-GB, adds SSD and Seagate Momentus XT. I bought the 16 GB and replaced the innovative drive with the Momentus XT.

The question is how much the board has the Bluetooth go. I bought it and try to have the spot. When I open the big top at the back of the laptop, only to see the place where I think the wifi card is gone, but the placement Bluetooth more likely more complicated than simply removing the lid and the connection.

I am also facing this difficulty. Where I will be able to locate the service guide for the Acer Aspire 8943G? The official page is empty. Nothing to download. Even in Google I was not able to find it. If no guide service, do you know of any laptop that is close enough to it and can use the service guide?

So here it is for anyone wanting to install the internal Bluetooth card /. It's a bit nerve wrecking (actually afraid to break my shiny new laptop just to get that extra ounce of greedy function to open your laptop, especially when you have to disconnect the connectors rather delicate. Try to find a friend who has some good knowledge of electronics and invite him / her about the beer. To help you before beer. Turn on the device. This is the first time I have a computer with Bluetooth and Bluetooth Acer. I have experience with electronics, but not both circuit boards and the like. I do not want to smash up my laptop either outwardly or inside. I have a service manual, other than I was wondering if you have several pointer on removing the 8943G? Also, the Bluetooth module you were with?

I can tell you never to force anything unless the manual tells you to apply some force to the clips and the like. It will also have gone with an off eBay because they are the cheapest.

Installing the Bluetooth module I ordered from EBay Atheros 3011. I took my time and go after the guide service and installation turned out enormous. This was my initial time opening a laptop as I did. I had to take the keyboard and the screen off to attain the area where the Bluetooth module would be installed. The installation was not really that bad. I gained much confidence in this facility. I could dive into more complex installations in the future.

I installed the driver and was able to match the Acer Tab and Ray. I had to fix an error message that I was "Bluetooth peripheral device driver does not have a" Google the error message and was able to find the solution. Everything works great!
