how can I unbrick a Dell Mini 10v using a floppy drive

I have purchased the new Dell Mini 10v six month ago. The working of the device is very fine. I like the design and the model of the device that’s why I purchased it. I don’t have any issue with the performance also. But I want to know some extra knowledge about my stuff. That why I am posting some question here. Actually I want to ask how can I unbrick a Dell Mini 10v using a floppy drive. Can anyone there who can give me the perfect answer for that? Please help me.

I read your problem and come to know that I can give you some information for that. Here I am giving you some idea. First you have to Run the program from I1010_A04 BIOS Recovery all the way through. Then you have to press Enter when it says to remove the floppy disc (don't actually remove it). then you have to Open up your floppy via My Computer. There you can see 3 files. Then you have to Delete bios.wph. then you have to Extract "bios.rom" from the 10v-BIOS-A05.zip after that put it on the floppy. Then you have to rename "bios.rom" ti bios.wph. o. and You can now eject the floppy from your PC and place it in your external floppy drive. Then you have to Remove the battery from the 10v and make sure that the power cable is NOT connected. After that you can Connect the floppy drive in the top left USB port. Then Hold down the "End" and "Fn" buttons and connect the power cable. Then reboot the system.

After reading your problem I conclude that I can share my experience with you. I also have the same query before sometime. So I first use the "Drdflash" and by the use of that I format the floppy disk. Then I used "I1010_A04 BIOS Recovery" and burn it. then after when I create the floppy and then connected the USB Floppy drive to the left USB port of the DELL mini 1010. Then I plug the computer power cord and turned ON by pressing the CTRL+END. Then after I start the Computer and my computer resurrected. This is my experience. You can get some information from this.

Here I am giving you some information which can be useful to you. You can downgrade the system of dell mini 10v BIOS from A06 to A05. But I also read some post in that you can see fear of bricking their mini/have bricked their mini while this. In this way you can get peace of mind-safety net-as you downgrade. I have this much of information about this topic.

I have some better idea to give some solution to you. I want to tell you the if you are try to downgrade for OS X then you don’t have to with the latest NBI A06 will work. But I want to give warning for that. Please don’t touch the BIOS setting. because this can cause for some severe problems.
