Question about Lenovo aftermarket and warranty plans

Hi, I'm preparing to acquire an Lenovo ThinkPad X220 and become aware of the fact warranty as I have heard that it is of variety of types and they can be advanced. Sp actually I want to know about the disclaimer about the product, and which part will be considered in a warranty? And if suppose I advanced any of the part in between the warranty period so will it void the warranty? I am not sure about this but still I am keen to know some facts about the warranty. Thanks for any suggestions.

I would say that’s quite good question you have asked about the Lenovo’s product. In fact I am also using the laptop form the same brand. And I have never got any such problem with the hardware so I haven’t claimed for the warranty, but still I have some idea about their terms and conditions, as you should not get warranty on any software that you have installed and after sometime you have lost, after that you’ll not be able to claim the warranty if there is any physical damaged made by yourself.

I am not sure about the fact that you have asked about advancing any part in the laptop, because o have never done this ever before, but still I think if I assume, we can make the changes with the Existing hardware but we should do it from Lenovo itself. I mean to say you we need to buy the new product as from the Lenovo itself, this may not ruin the warranty rather if suppose you install any part on your own you may lose the warranty for sure.

Re: Question about Lenovo aftermarket and warranty plans

once I was having a problem with my laptop and when I visited the gallery they just didn’t helped me as because I have already open it from the outside technicians. So the thing is like we should not open it until the warranty period gets off, because they have very good expertise persons who can handle any such problem with very ease. And off course if suppose you exceeded the warranty period you can have option to renew it again from there only by paying some amount to them.

I would like to inform you that you can read all this information from the guide that you’ll get with the product, but if suppose you want to know more about that you can simply visit the Lenovo’s official website and from there only you’ll get the step wise procedure about claiming the warranty, but the fact is like if you use the laptop properly with good care you won’t notice when the warranty period gone.
