Unable to find facebook application on Toshiba thrive tablet

Hi, I am using the Toshiba thrive tablet and I uses to surf the internet mainly through the device, and from that only as if we concern the social networking site, facebook is the boom, so I would like to have a shortcut on my tablet, but still I am not able to find out that shortcut even or it is not preloaded? And for this reason I have to open the browser and then access my account which is quite lengthy, so please let me know what could be the reason, thanks for any suggestion.

I am not sure about the android version you are using but still I would say in most of the devices this application comes up preloaded only, we don’t have to download it again. so first of all I would like to suggest you that you should try to find the shortcut first and I am quite sure as it would be on the device for sure. But if suppose you didn’t find any you can have option to download it again to your device.

I Am sure as the device already preloaded with the application for sure. But if you don’t have any you can download from the android market as well, and not only this, but if suppose you want shortcut for any other social networking as well, so you’ll get it from the android market only. when I had bought my first tablet this all applications were preloaded in the device itself, but by mistakenly I have deleted those application and then got it again from the market itself.

You must have to download the application from the market, because as the extent to I know only the Palm Tablet has FB application preinstalled in the tablet. But still I would like to suggest you that you should get the access to your account from the browser itself, because I have heard that there are certain limitation that comes with the application, but if you access the same with the help of browser you can have full functionality which is available.

I am agree with the above user as though I have a FB application on my tablet, it just make me n awful situation as whenever I start it, it just reboot the device and it happens every time I open that application. So according to me as well you should try to open the account from the browser only, and you can have option in that as well, like you can make the bookmark also for this site, rather you can simply put the site in the speed dial as well.

I have done the same thing though I have a FB application installed in the android mobile, I always uses to access my FB account from browser only instead of separate application. And as mentioned by the above user I have make a speed dial for this website, and not only this one but many more, and if you install the application you have to separately open it and for browsing you have to again open the browser as well, which will really occupy too much memory to use and will let the tablet run slow.
