    Point-and-click style Android adventure games

Right now I am an Android newbie. I'm a big admirer of the aged school point and click adventure games (Monkey Island, Sam and Max, Discworld, and so on) and now I am hoping to come across somewhat in this variety for my latest HTC hero. Does anybody know about those games?

It is lastly time that there a latest app porting ScummVM . Nowadays is the podium Android has the right within its edition of the well-known game engine adventure "point-and-click." This port, named Android ScummVM is not an official version of ScummVM. And it is difficult to say whether it will one day. Indeed, ScummVM was originally written in C + +. But Android's programs are written in Java. The author of this release has created a large library JNI to call the original code from a Java application. It's a good idea but lacks a bit of elegance.

Unfortunately there is not (yet) so really on Android - is a port of ScummVM emulator but work (are there even a thread here too), so that is not yet officially released and will not work with all current games and phones (and if only very limited, unplayable in my opinion at least encouraging milestone) when that comes out, you can gamble all the old games with it (if you have them).

I find no adventure game, or point and click for android. The iPhone is full; I do not understand that we can let the free market on android! There are a large number of players for such games. If you really want the point & click and you got no fear of old games, then install ScummVM and play Monkey Island and all the old Lucas Arts and others.

It still lacks a zoom system. Because this feature is important for devices with small screen sizes such as smartphones. In addition, I feel that this application uses a lot of memory which is not released after arrest. ScummVM Android is a very good initiative. We do not forget our old Day of Tentacles and Beneath a Steel Sky!

Just tried a small number of somewhat further demanding games on ScummVM, specifically CoMI, Toonstruck as well as BrokenSword1... it went a lot superior than I expected, except still, they don't play in addition to the low-resolution games. For CoMI plus Toonstruck I utilized the CD versions, through CoMI SAN plus BUN files compressed to OGG all the way through ScummVMTools. Toonstruck worked devoid of recompressing the video, which was a tad of a shock, from the time when I thought the ScummVM team had determined alongside counting their individual SMACKER video player.

The Monkey Iceland - series. Hardcore fans will insist that only the first two parts, is where Ron Gilbert, the inventor worked, wircklich count. I can tell you: Yes, the best part is probably the second, LeChuck's Revenge, but the third part looked better and was still making a lot of fun. If you ask me but want to part 4, which is doing better soon. Because with this 3-D crime I put most of my fingers in his ears and make loud "Lalalalala".
