Unable to get into windows in Asus Eee PC T101MT laptop

Recently I have purchased an Asus Eee PC T101MT tablet netbook laptop. I had Asus express gate software installed when I bought. Couple of days back I upgraded it with the latest express gate. But after that whenever I used to restart my laptop it appeared automatically. So I thought of uninstalling it. After I uninstalled I restarted my laptop and since then I am not able to get into the windows. I don’t know what to do. I have installed latest BIOS. Kindly help.

I hope you had uninstalled it properly. Tell me how you uninstalled it. Try to boot your laptop. Remember to enter CMOS press <F2>. This way you will enter the BIOS setup. There you will find many options like onboard devices, driver’s system info and so on. If you find express gate in the BIOS then uncheck it. After unchecking save it and restart your laptop. Sometimes it could be that you need to start your laptop in the safe mode. Tell me what operating system are you having? To get into windows there are different ways for each versions. Try to load the “last known good configuration” .If you can open Normal Mode or Safe Mode try restoring windows back to the earlier copy. For windows XP reboot and press <F8> to enter the safe mode. Well to get back into windows press the power button and keep pressing <F8> key till you windows advanced options menu. You can use the keyboard keys to navigate around the screen options. Enter the safe mode. A black command page may open, there type c: and press enter. At the c:\prompt type cd, type cd c:\windows\system32 \restore and press enter. At the new prompt type rstrui and press enter. System restore will open and then you get back to the time when everything was working correctly.

Well I would suggest that try to enter the safe mode. When your system will be booting continuously press <F8> and enter the safe mode. If you try "safe mode with networking", you might be able to install and run a third-party uninstaller that will clean all residue present from Express Gate. Well I think this will solve your problem. Also try to remove any components from the BIOS. It is good that you have latest BIOS.

If nothing is happening and your problem is not solved then I would suggest you to format your laptop. Install a fresh copy of windows. I hope you know that how to install the operating system. Installing will make you lose all the data’s present in your laptop. You may have to install it back. Well that should not be an issue for you. If you have trouble in that ask the service center person to come at your place and install the operating system. You can also take it by yourself to the service center.
