Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Si2636 cannot switch in audio jack automatically

I have purchased Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Si2636 laptop which comes with windows Vista operating system. Now after that I have installed windows 7 operating system in my laptop. Now after installing the windows 7 in my laptop I am facing one problem with my laptop. Now whenever I insert headphone in my laptop at that time my laptop will not switch me from in built speakers to headphone and when I play thing in my laptop at that time I get the sound from my laptop speaker only. Please tell me what I should do to solve this issue.

As you have mentioned in your post that your laptop is not allowing you to get the sound in your headphone and after inserting the headphone also you are getting the sound from your laptop speaker only, first of all I will suggest you to check whether you are getting this problem with all headphones or this issue is occurring with any particular headphones. If you get this problem only with your headphones then there is something wrong with your headphones and I think you need to change your headphone.

If you want to solve this issue then you have to follow these steps. Firs you have to uninstall the sound drivers from your Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Si2636 laptop and after removing the sound drivers from your laptop you have to delete all the temporary files from your laptop and after removing the temporary files from your laptop you have to restart the laptop. Now after restarting the laptop you have to install the sound drivers again in your laptop and after that check whether same problem is coming or not.

I think you need to run install your sound driver in compatibility mode in your Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Si2636 laptop and after that your problem will get solved. Because sometimes our system gives this kind of problems sue to compatibility issue also. First try to install the drivers in by setting the computability for windows vista and after installing the drivers check whether sound is still coming from laptop speakers or sound is coming from headphone.

I have gone through your above post and after that I have tried different headphone with my laptop and then when I try to play the sound in my laptop at that time also I get the same problem. Now after that I have also tried to solve this issue by removing the sound drivers from my laptop and installing it again, but after doing that also I get the same problem. I have also tried to install the drivers in compatibility mode but I don’t know how to do this please tell me exact steps to install the drivers in windows vista compatibility.

If you don’t know how to install the drivers in windows vista compatibility mode in your laptop then I will help you out with this. First of all you have to insert your drivers CD in your laptop and after that you to right click on the driver installer file and then click on the compatibility tab. Now after that you have to select windows vista option from and then click on the ok. Now after that install the drivers and then check whether it makes any difference or not.
