It’s Ok, but will you tell me which series of your new RAM. Did you know we have to put identical RAMs any motherboard .This doesn’t mean that you have two RAMs of the same size but at list of same series and speed. So just tell me which series of your both RAMs. And I will try to help you to resolve this problem. Which RAM module you exactly have bought? Or else just try to test your second slot and tell me is that is working properly. Please reply.

I bought DDR2 2GB of RAM for my computer. It’s of “Kingston KTL-TP667/2G” with 667MHz Module. I got 5 years of warranty with it. I also have tested my second slot with my old RAM, Its working well for me but also it doesn’t beep any time. It just shows me that black screen. Please reply I really have some work on it. Please reply me as quickly as possible.

It’s OK, but will you tell me, which a series of your old RAM is. Just tell me which series of your old RAM. Is it is also of DDR2 667MHz Module? If they are not of identical module try to use one RAM only or else you can buy one similar RAM for improving your system performance. You can also update your Bios if there is any issue with it. Please post and I will try to help you to resolve this problem. Please reply. Hope this will help.

re: ThinkPad Z61m’s screen goes black after upgrading the RAM

First of all sorry to you people for wasting your precious time with me. Yes, I have updated my Bios, But I suddenly saw that my old DDR2 RAM is of 555MHz module So I again install my new Ram which is of 2GB whereas my old one is of 1GB. So it’s just problem with my RAM modules so I am thinking to go with my new one. And its working best for me .Finally problem resolved, thanks.
