My Eee pc 1001px is not working properly, need help to reinstall window xp.

my 1001px’s hard drive failed physically and is unreadable, so I have decided to replace it. However my windows CD keys are lost. I want to know that is there is any way to get my original CD keys back? My PC 1001px is not working properly, because of the hard drive failed. I had decided to change my hard drive, I have the genuine windows CD at home. But the problem is that I had lost my original CD keys. So is there is any way to get my original CD key back?

if your 1001px’s hard drive failed physically then your choice to change your hard drive is right. But with the new hard drive you have to install window XP again. And you have lost your original windows CD key. In that case, check the CD’s case. CD case contain the original CD key, it will definitely help you to find your original CD key. If you have lost your CD case also then there is no option to recover the original CD key, since you are using the Genuine Window Xp.

In the new hard drive there is need of OS(Operating System).you have the genuine windows CD at home, but you had lost CD’s product key. I will suggest you to go on the search engine and search for the product key. There is no any other option to find the lost CD key, since you have the genuine product. I will suggest you to buy a new Genuine Windows XP CD or else you can search at your home for the CD’s case, it also contains the CD key.

you want to re-install the window XP to your new hard drive, and you don’t have the product key. If you only have the CD ,without the product key then there is no way to recover the CD key. The windows CD contains only the algorithm to check the product key, it does not contains the product key. There is other way also to find the product key on the search engine. It may help you to find the product key.
