Cannot do rating and play tracks based on genre in Creative ZEN X-Fi2

Hello friends I am using Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player and I my player was working fine but form last few days my Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player is giving me some issues. Now whenever I try to play based on genre at that time my player is not allowing me to do the in my other my Zen Micro player I can easily go to a genre and play all tracks within a particular genre. I am also not able to do the rating of the tracks in the player. Please give me some solution regarding this.

I don’t know about Creative Central as it does not run on BSD operating systems. However, rating tracks on the X-Fi2 is very easy. You have to just move your finger to the left on the "Now Playing" screen. There are a few additional screens here. You will be able to rate music by from the first one and another one is for the album art and last is for creating playlist. I hope this idea will allow you to rate the music.

If you want to play the file from any specific genre then you can try this solution. First you have to create playlists for each genre from creative central and after doing that you have to just select your playlist according to your genre and after that play it. Thank you so much after trying your solution my rating issue has resolved and now I am able to rate the3 song. But one problem still remains. When I go to the Music and after that when I select all tracks at that time I don't get a list of tracks from the genre mode. Please tell me what I should do to play the tracks from the specific genre. If anyone has any more solution then please help me out with this, any help will be appreciated.

Tyr to solve this problem by taking the back up all the tracks from your mp3 player to your computer or laptop and after that you have to cleanup your Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player. Now after cleaning up the player you have to again connect your Creative ZEN X-Fi2 with your computer or laptop and after that transfer all your files In the Creative ZEN X-Fi2 again and after that check whether you are able to play the files according to genre or not.

Well it looks like there might be something wrong with your Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player and I think you should try to solve this issue by updating the firmware of your Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player. first download the firmware update for your player and after that you have to connect your Creative ZEN X-Fi2 with your laptop or computer and after that you have to run the firmware update file and after doing the firmware update you have to check whether your problem get solved or not.

I have tried to solve this ratting and genre issue in my Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player by resetting it but after resetting it also I get the same issue I my Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player. Now after trying that I have read your solution and I have done the firmware update in my Creative ZEN X-Fi2 player and after doing the firmware update all the things started working properly.
