Nokia X6 unable charge and won’t starting up

Hi, I have a Nokia X6 and in that I am having a problem in the charging as after updating the firmware of the mobile phone, so I am not getting actually that whether there is any problem with the charger or the battery or any other. But according to my knowledge the battery is totally drained after the software update. So there is no way to charge it, and that is the only thing that making me confused. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

You have got the right thing I would say, as there might be so many problems that can cause the battery to not to charge. But according to me you should try to figure out the causes as soon as possible, because as you have mentioned that the battery is drained completely so if you don’t charge for more than 5 to 6 days, it may got damage. But so you should try to check whether the battery is working or not.

The firmware that you have installed in your mobile might have been corrupted and thus you are not able to charge the battery, first of all you should try to check whether the battery is working or not, because from that only you’ll get the idea about the basic problem, you can make use of the external charger, also known as the crocodile charger through which you can easily get the battery charged and then you can try to charge it through the charger that you have. So from this you’ll get the idea that the battery is working or not.

I am completely agree with the above user as you should try to charge the way he has mentioned but after that also remember one thing that you have faulty firmware in your mobile for sure so you need to change that also, otherwise you’ll not be able to charge the mobile ever again. you can have two option as you can simply downgrade to version that you were using previously in your mobile or can simply install the same firmware again, but make sure that you download the set up from other site this time.

I am not sure about your problem but when this was happening with my mobile, it was able to charged through the USB only and not from the charger that I have and because of that only I was not getting what is the actual problem, and after testing the hardware I came to know that the charging IC in the phone had been damaged, so replaced that and then right now I am able to charge the mobile as usual.

After installing the new firmware also if you are having the problem with charging you need to check the hardware as suggested by the above user, but for that you need to go to the Nokia’s service center, because if you make any changes in the hardware from the outside, you’ll void the warranty that you have gotten, so the best option would be to visit the service center, because they will replace the hardware if there is any problem in it, and if this is because of the software so they will surely install the new software in your phone.
