Long delay after pressing the Back or the HOME button in DROID FRG22D

I am having a problem in my DROID FRG22D which I brought few months back. The problem started for me 2 weeks ago. By using the TOP application I can see that the CPU is maxed with the couple of different processor and I can also see number of processes named kcryptd, kcryptd_io and also loop1 through loop49. It takes nearly 25 seconds for my home screen to show up the icon and also takes approximately 30 seconds for every time when I click on the Home or the back button. So is there any method that I can solve this issue then please do suggest me.

As you said that you have seen too many processes running in the background, which means that your processor is running with high load which makes your phone to get lag. So I think you need to free up your system process which can make your phone to run faster. You need to stop all the unwanted process that are running and making use of your processor. After stopping up the processors you can see that your phone would be running much faster than before.

It was the same thing that was happening to me also with my Home screen. Whenever I press the Home screen it takes quite more time to show the icons. What I did was, I went through the Applications and then selected Running Services to check out what processes or running in the background which was not standard. I found a thing that was a battery display widget running. It was on the Home screen and I just removed it from the Home screen and saw that my Home screen is now working faster than before.

I think you can once try it with the factory reset option. This will probably clean up all your poor installs. After doing so, go back to the settings option and then turn ON your wifi. After that you can wait for some time and allow your applications to regenerate it. ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro both can keep the home into its memory. So I think this method of doing the factory reset will be very much good option and will make your phone much faster.

Probably to make your phone work faster, you need to stop the unwanted third party application and all the processes that are using up much of the processor. This will surely speed up your phone. You also need to stop the high animations if you are having it on the Home screen. Having much of widgets and also the animations and graphics in your home screen will take time to load up.

I don’t think that it is an issue related with Google or the Motorola. I am also having the same phone in the stack and also running my stock launcher. I have never found a lag on my Home screen. But sometimes when I visit a flash site it lags a bit. I think it is more that the third party launcher or many applications running would make your processor to run slower. So check for the third party applications and also the unwanted processes running in your phone.
