When will the new kindle be available?

I know that it is very difficult to guess it but I am starting this thread to get some idea that what other people think about this? So what do you think that when the new kindle will be available to use. My guess is that it will be available not before Christmas. So what do you think about this. Please post your reply. Thank you so much for your attention to this topic in advance. I hope I there will be many replies on this soon.

If we see the history of the Kindle then we will came to know that Amazon releases the new version once in about every 18 months. But the Kindle 3 was only released last summer, so it hasn't even been a year yet. Still, Amazon knows that they sell a lot of Kindles as gifts. (In fact, I saw one study that said over 47% of Kindle owners received it as a gift.) So Amazon does have a strong incentive to make a new Kindle available right before Christmas time.

There are additional factors that may make a difference. If they release a tablet computer this summer, they might want to re-assure people that they're not abandoning the Kindle line. So I'm guessing they might want to release a new Kindle at the same time. If so, my guess would be that this would happen sometime this summer. But it seems like a good bet they'll announce something by the end of the year. Barnes and Noble just released a new version of the Nook with a touch screen. So Amazon's obviously going to want to release a new and improved version of their Kindle soon.

I think that this is going to be available by the next spring is my guess, but it is just a guess. That is based on my assumption that the rumors about Amazon releasing a Tablet this fall are true. And in that case I would think that they would want to focus all their holiday marketing on that new gadget and leave any Kindle update for after the holidays. This is just my assumption. All these are totally depend on that.

I have been thinking about this recently as I am tempted through the K3 every time I see one in a store, but I'm trying to hold out for the K4. I'm not sure they'll wait too long before releasing a K4. O would guess Christmas at the latest. Question is, which will come first, the K4 or the tablet, and which will they want to focus on for Christmas gifting? The Kindle is a more likely "gift" since it's less expensive - a tablet is a fairly pricey gift (again assuming the tablet will have a comparable price to tablets already on the market).

They actually can't wait much longer on the tablet and keep letting Apple run away with the market and other competitors to build up as well like the Xoom and the new Samsung Galaxy tab etc.* They really need to get one out before the tablet market gets saturated. At the same time, they may not want to launch a tablet and a new Kindle at the same time as it muddles the marketing.* It will be interesting to see what happens. I'm not super intrigued personally as I'm pretty fine with the K3 for my reader, and tablet wise I'm more interested in seeing what happens with Windows 8 tablets as, having an iPad 2, I've realized I really want something that's closer to a tablet PC so I can get some work done on it and take it on business trips in place of my bulky laptop etc.

I would think if they were going to get it out this year at all (doubtful), it would be right before Christmas. I just hope it won't be rushed as most electronics are for the holidays. My Blackberry Storm for example came out in November and it had too many glitches to name. I try to make it a general rule not to purchase first editions of anything electronic, but I usually cave anyway.
