Canon G12 and 270 ex ii

Anyone has G12 and 270 ex ii combo? Can you comment on the capacity for reflection (normal shots at home, maybe 10-12ft high ceiling) and fill out the possibility of flash with this? The reason for asking is because they are advertising off all my tools, but do not hope to be lacking a camera. I have a 580, that I think I even sold that and keep it up, that and a pair of G12, but I try to reduce the size, I'm imagining that the 580 is slightly larger than the double-G12 may be larger, so jeśli270 is just as capable, they are simply that and let it 580.

My experience (270EX and G11) is that at ISO 80 or 100 with flash and ceiling bounce, it could cause a bit underexposed images, although not so bad that you cannot recover in Lightroom (RAW). Bumping up to ISO 200 in such situations helps. For me the 270 is so small and light that it is worth the compromise. Furthermore, the use of flash is reflected in this kind of situation is all that 270 has, so loading time may be a bit slow, especially since the batteries begin to wear down.

What if I keep the iso of 400-800? I usually do in the 400-800 ISO / 5, 6 with my 7D, if I can use this setting, and will have a good iq, if after the trial and that the DPP and size to the size of the network in 1200-1200 on the longest side of the pix? I am not now considering the 430 now. Only 270 people. If I'm going to use a 430, might as well hit my 580 for a full fiscal 360th try to keep compact. Thanks for the input though.

I have both the original 580 II and 270, the second bought primarily for my G10. I think the 270 quite strong for its size and well able to bounce of the ceiling height is less than 10 feet. I like it so much that from time to time, pack it with my digital SLR, if you want to travel actually light (single lens, single body combo). But the lack of the head can sometimes be a real pain.

Here I just wish to add something in this case. These are not small flashes and when connected to a diminutive camera as G 12, it is not a question of balance that you're always aware of. I chuck wagon, 430 + G12 sometimes the body flash; always neck strap, in case slips out of my hand. I like a powerful flash (or 430/580, it is moving away from, but "right-sized" flash can really add to the picture.

I understand where you're coming from, believe me, if I do not have to let all my equipment, it probably will not even consider buying a compact. But what it is. My goal for now is a decent flash, less well, cheaper, better, to improve the indoor photos. But if my flash is not sold until there is G12 and 270, I'm going to use them together, and if the difference is night and day for me, maybe I will return 270 and the maintenance of the 580.
