Alienware M17x stopped working after System restore

I have got an Alienware M17x laptop which is running 64-bit version of Windows 7 Operating System in it. Two days ago, I performed System Restore in my laptop. And from that day I have noticed that my Alienware laptop has stopped working. Whenever I start my computer, the system will work find until I get the login screen. As soon as the login screen is displayed, the system will restart and then a complete black screen appears with a cursor and some runtime error. What is the issue, guys? Please help me solving the problem.

If you are able to login to your system in Safe Mode then I would recommend you to go to accessories > command prompt > right click and select Run as administrator
    • Type the following sfc / scannow and press Enter key.
    • The above code will scan for issues with the hard disk and automatically fix them. And if something is unsolvable then the report will be shown to you.

You should login into your Windows 7 account in Safe mode and try running some registry cleaner in order to clean corrupt registry entries in your computer. The problem might have occurred because of these corrupt files and registry entries only. So, I would recommend you to use any Third party software like CCleaner or TuneUp Utilities o perform scanning and fixing of issues in your registry key entries. Also for better running system, I would also recommend you to install some Antivirus system which is updated and perform complete scan for your system.

You can enter the Safe Mode in your Alienware laptop by loading up the system normally. While you have started your laptop and at the time of loading the windows, you need to press the F8 Function key. This will give you a new set of options, different modes in which you wish to enter the Windows. Also if you are unable to start the Safe mode by doing the above mentioned methods, then what you need to do is close your computer at the time of booting and restart it. This will make the system realize that it did not turn off properly, so now the computer will automatically start in Safe Mode.

Push the F8 function key many times when your system is turning ON. Once you do this, many otions will be displayed on the screen of your monitor. One among them will be Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Select the following Mode and login to your system using your username and password. Once you have entered the Windows, go to RUN dialog box and type cmd.exe and hit the Enter key. Now type in sfc/scannow command to scan the system and again hit the enter key. This will show where you are facing errors.

I think you should reinstall the Windows 7 Operating System in your computer. That will be the perfect solution to solve your issue. Yes, though you will be losing all your important data and installed file after you reinstall the Windows 7 Operating system in your Alienware system, but that will atleast make your system start. Once you have installed the Operating system, make sure that you don’t repeat any of your past mistakes which caused the problem with your system and also make sure to install all the drivers and necessary updates for your system.
