Touch Screen is not working with keyboard open on Motorola Droid 2

Last week I bought this Motorola Droid 2 and now I picked up problem on this Smartphone. When I try to open the keyboard and then use the touch screen, then the touch screen not working. However when I try to do something such as select any content on the cell phone using the touch screen then it not working if the keyboard is open.
