Regular interruption in video chat on skype on Lenovo x120e

I have bought the new Lenovo x120e laptop. Whenever I do video chatting on that then it shows me the error message which says “: Skype has stopped working”. After that it closes the skype. If I start that again then it does the same thing again. There is no problem in text chatting. It runs without any problem. Problem is only with the Skype. I cannot understand the reason behind this. Please tell me that what I should do to solve this. I have tried all the things from my side but that does not work. Please help me.

I think that there is some problem with the webcam driver and so it is not working and getting crashed between the call. All you have to do is that update every piece driver in your computer. Once you are completed with that then restart your computer. Try to chat with someone again and this time I don’t think that you will get the problem with that. The copy of Skype that you have installed in your computer might be corrupted and for that reason you are getting problem. First of all, uninstall the skype from your computer and install it again. It will be better for you if you can download a fresh copy of it from internet and install it from that newly downloaded setup. It can be the problem with the internet connection that you are having in your computer. Your internet connection might not be proper and that is the reason that you are facing such issues. So check for the internet connection and also you can reconfigure the router to see if that solves the problem for you. You can also talk to the service provider of your internet and ask them about the same. See what they can help you.

If you want to verify that if this is the problem with the camera or skype then you can try to do the video chat with some other software and see if that does the same. If you get the same issue there as well then it will confirm that the problem is with the camera and if this is running well there then the problem is with the skype that is installed in your system. What is the version of the Skype that you are using. I think yo9u are using some older version of it and so getting such issues. All you have to do is to uninstall that form your computer and then search for the latest version of it which is available. Download and install that in your computer. In my case, I am using the Skype 5 and that is running great for me. You can also try this and I wish it will do the same for you.
