Need help in connecting DS Lite Wifi USB

I am using my Nintendo DS Lite and from past few days I am not able to use my DS online. Also I am using the Wi-Fi USB Connector that is official from Nintendo. Most of the computers in my home are having Windows 7. But, in my laptop which is having Windows Vista, it is getting the “Internet Connection Error (6)”. I have tried many things to get it fixed but nothing worked. I have even tried it on my mother’s PC which is having Windows XP. In that it is getting installed but the connection dies. In my house there is a Wi-Fi, but it is with the highest security settings. Though Wi-Fi can work with my Wii my dad won’t turn down the security for my DS.

If you are using your Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector for a quite long time then, try to download and install the latest software for Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. Please make a note that if you are able to connect your Nintendo DS online, then there is no need to do so. Also make a note that, before installing the latest update you need to uninstall the previously installed software version. Try to get the latest version which also supports in your Vista and then try connecting it.

As you said that, you are having your computers running with windows 7, you can get connected to internet by using Connectify (http://www.connectify.me/) which is a software router. Use this to make your computer into a hotspot, but to do so you require wireless card, which I think you have it. As you know that WEP is not a secure, so it means that some of your other games may require a better security. Just check your router settings to make sure that you are using WEP (128) which is the good form of WEP.

One of the solutions I could suggest is, all you need to do is try to use WEP encryption by configuring your wireless router. And also make the Broadcast function disabled, so that it is not visible to everyone. Making the broadcast disabled, you are able to connect it when you setting up the connection for PC manually. But, not it will not appear when you are searching for wireless.
