    COPilot locking up with 2.2

Is there anyone else who has suffered lockups with CoPilot Live v8? I was never having any problem with my Streak and happily waited for o2 to release 2.2 and upgraded it. That day it did with no trouble for whatsoever reason. Ever since I moved to 2.2 I had noticed that copilot will lockup every now and then. On some journeys it’s quite not good as I had no idea it happened until I see the distance counter not changing. In some of the cases, even if I am using blue for a phone call then the whole phone reboots. Can anyone please give any suggestions on this?

Have you ever tried changing the dip switches in the copilot to check how it acts? The front face plate comes off, and inside that are tiny white switches, that can tell how it works, little bit of manual reading is involved, but I am not sure that It would do exactly what you want. There are so many other things to adjust as well, on my truck TV cable can be adjusted, you can go inside and adjust the valve body, and a lot of time and testing is required to find the right spot, but who has time?

I also don’t like the way it locked up either, it’s because the COPilot is connected to the map sensor. It will not lock up unless you have the certain amount of boost. I had cut down the map sensor wire (I think it was the pink one) and now the COPilot locks up only based on the speed. I had set my lock up to 50km/hr and I can let the throttle off for a second, so it can shift smoothly then get back on err. It’s much better now. I have to use O/D button off, to keep it from shifting into OD too easily, but then I can let off the throt so that shift is smooth too.

It will lock up on decell and unlock on accel if the boost was too low. If you cut the orange wire, or whichever wire that is going into the map sensor, you can lock-up based on the speed. No issues on decell. I remember the manual saying that the low speed being 15mph or so, would be great. It worked perfect since I cut my wire, just put back connect on without bareing/strip wire. It doesn’t seem to act like it wants to break anything now.
