Getting blue screen with a 0x7f error in HP Elitebook 2740p

I am using HP Elitebook 2740p from last 6 moths and I am using windows xp service pack 3 in it. I am facing one problem in my laptop. Whenever I try to shutdown the laptop at that time it shows full blue screen with 0x7f error. I don’t know what is wrong with my system but I want to get rid of this problem. If any one have same kind of problem and have any solution regarding that then please let me know. I want to solve this problem as soon as possible.

As far as I know normally this problem comes when the graphic driver of the system is not properly installed. I think you are also facing this problem due to same reason. That is why I suggest you to go to my computer and right click there. After that click on the properties and go to the device manager. In device manager look for the display driver option and then right click on it and update that. After doing this thing you will not face this problem again.

I have gone through your issue and I have also searched the solution for that. According to me you are facing this problem due to some registry files gets corrupted. To solve this problem I can suggest you one thing. You can download the application from the internet which repairs the registry in your laptop. Once all the registry files are repaired after that you will not face this problem and you will be able to shutdown your laptop properly. I hope this solution will be helpful to you.

If you are facing this problem after trying so many things then I have one more solution for you. First uninstall the graphic driver from your system and after that restart your laptop. Now insert your laptop driver cd in your laptop. After that install the graphic driver in your laptop but before installing that in your laptop delete all the temporary files form your system. After restarting the laptop your laptop will work properly. Try this trick and let me know.

I have read your issue and if you are not able to solve the problem even after reinstall the graphic driver in your laptop then I think there is some thing wrong with your operating system. I think you should repair your windows xp and then check whether same problem is coming or not? If you are still facing the same problem then I think you should install the fresh copy of windows XP. I think after installing the windows xp you will not get this problem.

As far as I know normally we can solve the blue screen issue by updating the display driver or repairing our operating system. But if you have tried all the things and you are still not able to solve this problem then I think there is something wrong with your laptop hardware and that is why I will suggest you to go to the HP service center and then asked for the solution regarding your problem. I hope after doing that you will not get any error.
