there are a few questions you will have to answer before any one can suggest you any probable solution for the situation you are in, you said that you have been using a wireless network for connecting to the web and that you want to block the mac address of the ipod touch you own from connecting to the network and you also mentioned that you have jail broken it. there are many settings you could go through but the best one is to stay or keep the phone offline when you are not using it for now.

so you are using a wireless network what kind of security measures have you implemented for the wireless network/ wifi are you using an encryption based setup and if yes what kind of encryption for example wep/wpa/wpa2. there are many choices there but i will recommend going for the wpa 2 for your kind of network as it is the latest one available in encryption of data over wifi. do not forget to use a strong password for it. and if you are doing all the things i just said please let me know more detail about the problem and will try to find a plosable solution.

if you have jail broken the i pod you will have no means of updating the i pod and the warranty is not applicable if you are not using the custom firm ware from apple you may be in good shape. do not use a jail broken i pod to connect on the web as it is likely for apple to find your device and blacklist it for updates. if that happens there will be no updates for you. and the mac id problem that you are trying to solve has no solution as per my opinion because apple has designed the i pod in that way.

what model of linksys router are you using, as it is important to know about. no one will be able to advice you on your problem correctly until and unless they do not know what kind of router you are using there are many routers avaliable from linksys and as respective to their model series they have different kinds of settings avaliable in them. i will still try to solve your problem with some general setting which are avaliable on all the routers have you tried using the open dns as it helps in blocking some of the content form being shared from the network. but it can be easily by pass by using a different personal dns server name.

i do not think that you have any settings for the mac id to be blocked as it the only address that is unique to your device and will be sent to the network if you will connect to the web. there is no way to block it even after jail break as it a hardware number hard wired on the wireless chip. and is always relayed upon being made use for checking the connection and the router is responsible for blocking the mac id from reach put in the cloud. so you should better change the settings of your router rather than trying to do the same on the i pod touch.
