Trouble with Audacity Recording in DEll XPS

Hi friends I am using the Dell XPS with windows vista and I have just bought creative audigy 4 pro. But before I attached it with my desktop I was facing no problems with it but after I attached it with my computer then I am only able to get the mic for recording. I am not able to get any other sound. Like any streaming music from you tube. I don’t know what is going wrong with it. Please help me to solve this problem.

I have read your problem and after that personally tried to solve it. And I can give you one solution for this. First you have to do is just disable the all the sounds from your system. After that set the audigy as your default audio device after doing all this thing. You will able to hear the sound. Just try this solution and check whether this trick works for you or not? If it is not work for you then please let me know so I can give you some more suggestion. T hope it will work for you.

As you have said in your thread about your problem. I have some different ideas to solve your problem. For that first you need to uninstall the audigy drivers from your system. After that you need to uninstall the original audio driver also. Then after first install the audigy drivers and then try to play music. I think it will solve your problem. If it is not done then install the original driver also. I hope this idea will solve your problem. And you will able to here the sound again.

According to me first you need to go to the control panel. After that select the sound option. After that click on the record tab. Then check whether it showing stereo mix device or not? After that right click on the open area and enable it. After doing that go to the playback tab and there also enable same thing. After that your problem will be solved. If it is not then try the headphones with your computer. I hope you will be able to solve your problem. If this idea work then please let me know.
