Just got a netbook But no WiFi N. Do I need it,

hello guys, i have recently purchased a netbook and has the following specifications. it has 2GB of memory capacity, with wider screen as compared to other netbooks. Full version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit is installed on it instead of Windows 7 Starter 32 bit. it has also got a duo processor and equipped with good graphics card. I am very much satisfied with its specification, but one thing it is lacking is WiFi N. Wifi G is much older and Wifi B is bit faster than Wifi G but not better than Wifi N. so I want to know what are the demerits of “802.11G. If I mange to get Wifi N then is the network available in most of the places. Is it possible to upgrade my netbook to Wifi N.

Congratulations for your new net book. It is true that Wifi B is the older technology. There is no doubt that Wifi G is better than Wifi B, but Wifi G is little bit slower as compared to Wifi N. the signals in Wifi G gets easily distorted. Some factors like cellphones and other radio signals gets easily interfered with Wifi G. but it is pretty good for streaming videos if the signal is good. You can get a USB data card that supports Wifi N and get it installed in your netbook. If you don’t have the installation file, then download it from the website and then run it to install in your

Wifi G is not as bad as you are thinking. Most of the internet connections are slow and does not deliver speed more than 54 KB per second. moreover Wifi N is less tamper resistant than the Wifi G. i think you should take some time before you decide to upgrade your netbook to wifi N. use Wifi G for some time and if you liked it then you don’t need to switch to Wifi N. if you want to upgrade your netbook to Wifi N, then you need to get a USB adapter that supports Wifi N. for this you will be provided with the installation disc from the manufacturer of the adapter.

Does your netbook have CD rom drive. I think netbook does not come with CD rom drive. Without the drive you cannot run and install the software that came with the USB adapter. You have to spend some more cash to get one External CD Rom drive with USB connector. Once you get it, you would be able to install the software. Without External CD ROM drive you cannot make the adapter work. If you are not willing to spend more from your pocket, then you can download the setup file from the manufacturers website into your netbook. after downloading you can run the setup.
