Which will be best On Samsung Q1-UMPC among Linux and Android?

Hello everyone, I have one question for you all today on this forum. I am planning to buy a Samsung Q1-UMPC, but I quite confused within Linux and Android operating system. As per my knowledge this system has some hamstrung specs. The configuration which I have bought is as below:

    • 1.33GHz Core Solo Express 945 chipset
    • 2GB Ram
    • 90GB SD Drive
    • Graphics Media accelerator
    • Bluetooth
    • Wi-Fi connectivity
    • HD Output & SD Output
    • Networking port
    • 2 USB2.0 ports

Can anyone help me to choose appropriate option? Thank you

Hey I have gone through to your case and also I have done some search on it. in addition this system contains touch screen with small bisected key-board. Also it is containing stylish front and rare camera, as an extra utilities it have programs like finger print reader, virtual keyboard and many Samsung based application. Windows XP is inbuilt in it and if you put Linux in it, it will be good advantage for you. Because Linux is capable of running such application on it. So as per my opinion you must try with Linux distro. All the Best

Hey I also have some more important notifications for you all. About Linux, I can say that Linux has proved itself on computer. It works great and perfectly on computer and no matter with the specs as Linux is the open source. I like the best quality of Linux is that, it is quite adjustable with every specs. And according to me it will also adjust with your requirement. I am completely agreed with above post and you should go with Linux for your Samsung tablet PC.

Hello friends, I am kind of freak person about android. And as I am the freaky I am not completely agreed with the above 2 posts. I know that Linux has proved itself, but you might forgetting that Samsung Q1-UMPC is touch screen, and Android has proved itself on touch screen. Android works good on touch screen system and it is versatile, and in addition I want to say that Android has also proved that it works with small machine quite perfectly. So as per my opinion you must try Android first, and if you don’t feel that it is not satisfying you then you have alternate option as well. So All the Best!

Hey friend, there is nothing in debating. As per my knowledge with both of these system, I can say that every system have its own advantages and disadvantages. Linux is easy pinch to your setting but I have not yet seen that it is working well on touch screen. And about Android I can say that it is working well on touch screen but it will be very difficult to recognize the wireless keyboard and mouse. So I just wanted to say that both the operating system is good on its own way, you can use both if you want, and it will also be good if select anyone among these two. All the best and thanks for asking such question.

Hey thanks to you all man, I am quite happy that I have got such wonderful solutions. I have chosen my option, I am going with touch screen as it works excellent on touch screen, and also I wanted to say that I am not going to use this for gaming, my planning to use it for my HD T.V, through which I will get good HD quality for Netflix and web browsing. So for this purpose Android will be a good option, but I will Miss Linux as it is endless in what you want to do with it. Thanks again for your kind support.
