Unable to connect Sony EReader PRS300 to PC

Hello. I owe a Sony EReader and as I connect it to my Personal Computer it says that an update to the EReader library is required, therefore I started the update. It fruitfully downloaded, but then when it began the install it appeared to continue forever. After around 10 hours I had to stop and disconnect. When I gave a try to re-install the library software it does start up, downloads the files after that it comes to the install it displays error 1500 there is previously an installation in development, you need to complete that one, and I cannot get it to carry on. Can anyone help me in solving this error and get it to install?

Hey dude. Hi am fine and going good. Hoping the same is the case with you. Well, firstly, I really appreciate you that you have given a complete scenario of what is happening. That’s really good from your side. Well, I have an idea related to above. Do give it a try as there would be no harm. However, I am not hundred percent sure whether it will work or not. You can try and again name the sony old folder. It may make a difference.

Hi mate. I can help you out on this. I will advise you that you first plug in the sony reader PRS300 along with the Universal Serial Bus cable and then you should do a soft reset and leave it plug for around 15-20 minutes and just have a look whether if that fires it up. Also, just be confirmed that your computer does not go into idle for the complete 15 minutes. This solution has worked for quite a lot of people after their Ereader was not recognized.

I would like to advocate you that rather than trying out or thinking about extravagant answers to the above question, I hope that there is no issues inside your computer. Also, I hope that your device hasn’t been attacked by any kind of malicious virus. If in case, it is then such unexpected behaviors can occur when you try to connect the Ereader to the computer. Hi. I too had a problem with my Ereader some time back. Even, I was frustrated to the core like you. Though, I am unaware of your post and do not know the exact solution but I can surely advise you that you should search the internet and then go onto sony Ereader forum. There you will be able to find superb solutions. It did help me in my case, hence implying you that even you should try it out. It wouldn’t be a bad option at all.
