Low battery life of Toshiba Libretto W100

Hey guys I recently purchased the new dual screen Toshiba Libretto W100 which is running Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System. The features are amazing except the battery life. It is working like for just 2 hours. The fully charged battery drains off completely within 4-5 days, even if it is kept in full shutdown or hibernation. I am unable to detect the cause for this behavior. Does anyone know what the matter is with my Toshiba Libretto W100? Please help me. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

You should check whether the Toshiba Libretto W100 is getting charged properly or not. It might be possible that there is some kind of problem with the charger of your Libretto W100; that is why the battery is not getting charged up properly even after putting it on charge for long hours. If possible change the charger and then try to charge your Librett0 W100, and check whether the problem still exists or it gets solved after replacing the charger.

According to me, the problem seems to be there with the battery of your Toshiba Libretto W100 and not with the charger. The battery is defective and that is why it is getting drained so early. Check out whether the battery is leaking or damaged anywhere or not. If it is then you will have to get a new battery for your Toshiba Libretto W100 and check whether you are facing the same problem when you replaced your old battery with the new one.

The Toshiba Libretto W100 has got dual 7-inch diagonal dual-touch LCD screens. And each of the 7-inch LCD touchscreen is provided with WSVGA (1,024 x 600) pixel resolution. Also, everytime the user makes an input; the Libretto W100 gives a vibrating feedback to the user. The Libretto W100 also got LED backlighting. This is the main reason behind the heavy use of the battery charge, thus cutting the battery life of the Toshiba Libretto W100 short.

I would recommend you to contact the manufacturer of your Libretto W100 that us is Toshiba and get an appointment fixed with their technical staff, so that they can look upon your Toshiba Libretto W100 and figure out what is the actual reason behind this fast draining of your Toshiba Libretto W100’s battery. If you are unable to make any contact with them, then you can give your Toshiba Libretto W100 to the retailer from whom you had purchased it. Get your Toshiba Libretto W100 repaired if any problem is detected.

Hey guys, thanks for showing your concern toward my problem with the Toshiba Libretto W100 battery. But it seems this problem is with everyone. The battery life of Toshiba Libretto W100 is less, something around 2 hours on full charge. The applications and the dual-LCD screen consume most of the power of the battery, thus making it last for less time. So I have decided to always keep a spare charged battery with me in case of emergency. Anyways, once again Thanks for your kindness to reply to my post.
