Error: ’Address Book not installed’ in Blackberry Desktop Manager

From quite a few days I have been trying to copy some of the contacts from the phone to the Microsoft outlook. So after having copied some of the contacts there was some issues with the duplication of a particular contact name in the other list. So what I did was went and removed the first list, so that the name does not appear again as I had kept the back up of that. So now when I went to the Desktop Manager to try backing up the remaining contacts it said that Address Book was not installed. So what should be done in this situation? Now you only tell me.

See in such situation it is best to have a talk with the RIM people about this issue and I am sure that this problem will be solved. May be waiting for the next update will definitely solve the issue. So just wait for the next update and look whether that will solve the issue or not. So for that ask the particular RMI People if the update is available or not. So if the update is available then the solution will definitely get solved. So that’s what I have to say here.

Well I have got some solutions for you that worked out in my case and I am sure that it will work out with you as well. So do have a look at my suggestion See what I did was with the Device Manager 6.01 I just took the backup of all the details of the phone, then what I did was with the help of the BBSAK 1.9 I formatted my blackberry, then again using the BBSAK 1.9 I did a re installation of the blackberry software in it. Now with the device manager I was able to restore all the details that I had keep as a backup. Now trying this method did really help me out. So do try this suggestion it will work out.

I did solve this problem by doing a simple roll back of the operating system that I was using. So now it does not give me any error of such kind. Now if you are thinking on how to roll back to the older operating systems of the blackberry phone then in the update my device you will be getting to see a link which says view other versions. So you can select the previous version which you were using. So that’s a much better option that you can try and it definitely works. So do have a look at it.
