Windows 7 phone Zune App error

Hi, I am having a desktop with windows 7 operating system installed. I am having a problem with Zune application. Whenever I connect my LG E900 Optimus 7 phone to the computer, the device is recognized by Windows and it is shown in the device manager. When I go to start the Zune App, a device tab is visible but the but it is unable to build up the connection with the phone and a error message is displayed. Please somebody help me to resolve this problem

If the Zune App on the PC is unable to detect the phone, then there must be some problem with the connecting medium. Have you connected the phone directly to the USB port of the computer or have used a USB hub. If you are using a USB hub for connection then there must be some problem with the USB hub. Disconnect the USB hub and plug the phone directly to the USB port of the computer.

First of all check, if the computer is able to detect the phone. When you plug the phone directly to the USB port, the computer should automatically detect it notifying “a new hardware found”. If it is detected then there is no problem with the USB cable. Check in the computer, for the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" and make sure that it is set to automatic. If it is not set to automatic then you have to manually enable it.

If everything is perfect and working properly then there is no hardware problem. Check if you have cryptographic module for Spanish eDNI got installed. If so, then uninstall it then try to build connection. Uninstall the Zune app and again reinstall it. If you suspect that the hardware is not working, then install the Vmware tool on the computer and under a virtual machine check if it is recognized. If it is recognized then there is no hardware issue.

Check for error if any, with the ZuneDevices.exe and see if error is shown on the setupact.log, setupapi.app.log and setupapi.dev.log. there might be some error in installation of the zune app or a system file might be corrupted due to which the zune app is unable to connect to the mobile device. Completely format the computer and then try to build the connection. I was also facing the same problem and had to reformat the system. But after reformat the problem was resolved.
