Computer does not recognize Samsung Focus

I got this new Samsung Focus with me and I was very happy to get it. But then there was all disappointment with me .The thing is that when I try to connect the Samsung Focus to my computer the computer just fails to recognize my phone.I don’t know what the issue is but this is the case.Also I would tell you that the mobile just works fine but this happens only when I connect the phone to the computer.So please do get back to me on this as this is really frustrating for me.

Even I had a similar kind of problem and then it was solved immediately. I guess that even you should use the same and then it all will be fine with you. What you need to do is that you need to change the mode of the phone from a tether mode which is present in the phone's debug menu to the to zune sync mode and then I am sure that the problem will be solved immediately. Use this solution and then do get back to let us know that it has worked for you or not.

Even I am using a Samsung Focus and would tell you that I use it with the Windows 7 64-bit and had no trouble at all.So I feel that there is not a big issue at all and it all will be fine with you.You can try the solution that is being provided earlier or you can even go with another solution.What you need to do is that you need to restarted the computer and tried to connect it again?Also which type of cable are you using? Just try this out and see if it works for you or not.

I just had a look at the question that you have put up and would say that when do you get that error message? Also is it when you connect the device while the Zune software is open? And I want to know that do your device gets turned on or off when you connect it? Does it have a full charge? Have you put an SD card in the Focus? Have you tried a total reset of the phone? I just need to know the solutions to these few questions and then we can proceed with the solution that you want to fix this issue.

Thank a lot for the solutions that you have provided.I would say that this had helped me a lot and it has actually fixed my problem. What I did was that I changed the mode from tether mode which was present on the phone's debug menu to back to zune sync. This is what I did that helped me to fix the issue. So I would like to thank you all for the solutions that you have provided to me as they helped me a lot to fix the issue.
