Nokia E7 to display caller ID

I had just bought a brand new Nokia E7 mobile phone having touch screen and QWERTY keypad. It is a great phone I had used till date having many features along with it. However I am unable to get any name of my contacts who calls me on my phone. I have already stored my contacts in the phonebook. But whenever someone is calling me I am unable to find their name but able to view their numbers instead. Because of this I cannot know who is calling me. Can anyone know any solution for this problem? Please help!!

Main reason that you are not able to view names instead of it you get to view their numbers is because you might have save same numbers more than one time. For this you will need to check for the numbers stored in to your phonebook should not be more than once. Tell your friend, relative or anyone to call you to call you up or you could call them too to check your screen displays their names or not. If it does not display names for the guy who called you then check into your phonebook you might have save it more than once.

It might be the case you are using 00 (double zero) instead of using + (plus sign) for international numbers. For this you will need to store plus sign rather than storing it using double zero which causes problems in displaying names on to your screen from the phonebook. Try checking your phonebook entries if you have stored any numbers with double zero rather than plus sign. For example: rather than using this format 009198922XXXXX you will need to store it as +9198922XXXXX.

There might be the case where you are using area code starting from zero (0) onwards. This might be the case where you had inserted zero between the international code and the main number starting from area code. When you are using any local line you had to start it with the zero as its prefix. For this you need to be extra cautious while storing the numbers into your cell phone phonebook. Start from international code and then eliminate zero and type rest of the number.
