    Nokia X6 Invalid server name

I had been using a brand new Nokia X6 since a week ago. The phone is no doubt is a good one but currently I am experiencing a problem related to it. I am unable to connect through my WLAN connection because of which I cannot access maps and ovi store install on it. I cannot make it through as I am unable to get it worked out for me as I cannot connect it properly to my phone. After going through various settings from the internet I still get the Invalid server name problem. Can anyone has any solutions regarding my problem? Kindly help!!

I am not sure if this will work out for you but you can try it once if it can help you in resolving your issues. For this following are the instructions given below:

    1. Go to menu
    2. Go to settings
    3. Go to connectivity
    4. Select destinations
    5. Now select internet
    6. Now you have to go to the wi-fi connection
    7. Go to WLAN settings
    8. Go to advance settings
    9. Select proxy server address from the list
    10. Give in the proxy server or change it to none

Re: Nokia X6 Invalid server name

I think the problem is associated with your phone rather having issues working on it. Some time back I was having same Nokia model on which I tried connecting wi-fi or WLAN, but I was not able to. After using it for a long time say more than a month I bought other phone which work wonder rather having Nokia X6. So I was just going to the problem which no one was able to solve it. Finally I sold it and working fine with the other phone along with the WLAN and not experiencing any problem related to it.

After working on my Nokia X6 phone for about a month I found the solution for the problem stated above. By this I came to know that inserting your MAC address would do wonder to your problem. For this purpose you would have to follow the instructions given below:

    1. Type *#62209526#
    2. Press call button
    3. It will now display the MAC address of your device
    4. Address it to your routers through MAC filtering

I hope this solution will work out for you.
