Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q875: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM media

It is the unparalleled I got a laptop that does not have the OEM media for the operating system (not cheap). Toshiba save it $ 1 - $ 2? How about the fact that you did not get the official certificate of genuineness MS operating system, and what things are going, Toshiba could have setup a reproduced copy of Windows 7, with an unreal but applicable product key? Yet validated as genuine MS OS. What does a customer $ 1,800 laptop has to do to get Windows 7 Home Premium OEM media provider 64-bit laptop? Or I have no right to own the media? If so, I'm sure right to download the electronic version of the installation files of the operating system and the creation of the media myself. Please someone help me.

This is the first PC I have had that came with the disk operating system software OEM /, too. Even though, my friend just acquired a new gateway that was in the same way (the need for software to record your own restaurant), so it sounds like this could be the new way that manufacturers are. I'm not saying that is fine, but it sounds as if the practice is not exclusive to Toshiba. I agree - not counting the OEM media is quite lame. As for the product key for Windows 7, however - Does the 875 I have not printed on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop? Even while they do they are the OEM media operating system, Windows key must always be on that label.

The product key is there, but all the time escorted by a certificate of legitimacy of MS operating system and the media. How to get files from operating system to install? Most likely downloading Windows 7 Evaluation. Microsoft's ISO and burn to a DVD can work, when I enter the same product key. You should not have to guess - and Toshiba does not have answers. It is simply too long to find out, and when shit happens, do not want to experience - I need to get this back into work as soon as possible without the "extras" not asked, stopping the system operation. I understand that if that was the case of a $ 400 laptop. But for the laptop $ 1.800, which is a spit in the face of the client. Imagine $ 100k + luxury car manufacturer, selling a car without a spare wheel (sure, you can buy one yourself). Is this kind of disrespect?

It is not really the fault of Toshiba. All manufacturers have gone this direction, as Microsoft has changed their terms so that the inclusion of the installation package extra. I cost too much to hope that this is a problem in Microsoft. Investing probably does not want to create all the CD and then ship them to OEMs. Toshiba does not use the CD to load the HD I would suspect that all of our health districts are set up in some type of HD Rig designs for new configuration is that.

Your details seem right, but let's not overlook our customer rights. If Microsoft was in this way with all OEM editions, stingy customers of installation media and depiction them to the days of lost productivity, which sounds like a bad business practice, right? Perhaps the competition judges should be once more on consumer policies Microsoft damage. Do not guilt Microsoft for this, Toshiba's fault. This is not the way to treat a client who paid about $ 1,800 for your laptop. I cannot emphasize sufficient - the explanations make sense, but how is it possible for consumers, a slap in the face as well? I cannot.

I suspect that all of our health districts are set up in some type of Rig designs to HDS new configuration is that, which is fine, but what if it fails the original HD? Cannot configure it another HD. HD has a lot of moving parts. When I can at a standstill setup Windows XP operating system CD-ROM from 2005, it is uncertain that the HD can take so long. There is a reason for 1-year warranty. Again, is relatively well with the $ 400 laptop. is totally unacceptable to the $ 1,800 laptop. in the long run, going with another manufacturer like Dell or HP I could save thousands of dollars of lost productivity days, even if the starting price is $ 1.000 - $ 1.500 more.
