My Hp ipaq 1945 wont charge

I have a HP iPAQ 1945 to 2003 Pro I was in an accident near the end of 2007 and was unemployed for almost a year and a half - during which time my pda sat alone and finally lost all power battery. I am back to work and tried to turn my unit, but when I plug in the charging cable or the charging light comes on / flashes, and the unit starts. Is it possible that the battery is dead, after all this time? And yet, why not charge light do its job anyway.

I have HP ipaq 1945, I am using it from last 5 year and I was also faced this problem many time like 4 year back and I asked to my friends about this problem they suggest me something but any solution not helped me properly then lastly I changed my battery now it is working very fine from last 4 year I would like to suggest you that you should to do the same think and see I hope it will help you to come out from your frustration which is occurred because of battery actually.

Just before last some week I had a same problem I also tired with this kind of problem because it occurred always after some time period. But one day just accident I saw my battery was leaked. I am thinking your battery leaked even as it spent all that time inside your PDA mobile phone. Have you tried a replacement battery? They are available one Bay if I am not mistaken. I think you got your answer now you will feel better.

What did you do before hard reset - did you upgrade ROM? Let see what happened, just do one thing, put the ipaq in the charging stand and go to sleep. Let it charge for overnight. There is possible that the battery is low, try a new replacement battery, if you have. Press the reset button side (hole), while the ipaq is on. Some time before I had same problem and I did same thing I got relief. I am not sure too sure, but I hope it will help you and always put off the power after charging.
