I think I know what you wanted to ask over here. Also I know what steps should be taken to meet the requirement of yours. You have to click on System Preferences and simply click on Mouse option. Now you need to set Tracking as all the way to the left. Once you have done with above mentioned settings you will be able to pick up mouse pointer for 6 to 7 times when you are supposed to point something on your computer.

Re: How to remove Mouse Acceleration OSX?

Well everyone knows that Mouse is an external peripheral device which is used to keep track of the cursor movement which is occurring on the screen of the computer. The term Acceleration which is used in this thread refers to compensation or over compensation software which is used to whilst that cursor is in motion. Many users have seen that switching between long sweeping movements to the short precise slow movements mouse reacts in very different manner. One can find the difference when user switches from windows to OS X. Well mouse acceleration is not associated with sensitivity of the mouse but it is two very different things.

If you are having Microsoft Mouse then I recommend that you should use the same by installing the drivers of the mouse. It will provide you an option which is provided by Windows style mouse acceleration. In case if you are having any other manufacturers mouse such as Logitech then USB Overdrive is the only way to achieve. I have used both SteerMouse and USB Overdrive. Well according to my personal experience USB Overdrive has provided better result.

I let you know that Acceleration is the second factor considered for the position. It means that what you will see when pointer position gets change velocity when you move the mouse. This particular thing Mouse acceleration is involved by Mac interface from before the begin the Microsoft has designed the windows. In Apple based product Tracking Speed is used to control sensitivity & acceleration interactively at the lowest possible setting. Well there will be no acceleration however you will be able t get low movement of mouse. I think third party pointing devices might provide option for the same.
