Unable to load Meggo on Asus 900HD

I am having this Asus 900HD laptop that I have been using for quite some time now, and recently I have heard some great things about this Meego Operating system from all my friends as all of them are currently using the Meego on their device. So I also tried loading the same on my Asus 900HD. I installed the Meego by creating its image on a usb stick and from there booting the laptop. I get the message of the language and the partition that I would want to install Meego on, but soon as some message regarding the “installing Bootloader comes the installation of the Meego hangs and I am not able to do anything further except restarting the laptop, so can some one please help me to know how will I be able to get Meego installed smoothly on my laptop.

I would like to suggest you to use the Ubuntu Disk Utility to create 262 boot partition and the remaining is a 3.8 space. Also, use as much of the Diskspace to create the partition, because this Meego really requires a huge space to get itself loaded into a laptop and from there you will be able to run the Meego smoothly. If that doesn’t eases out the installation process then unfortunately you will have to make use of some kind of any bootparameters which will help you in installing the Meego on your laptop.

You should follow these steps so as to get the installation of the Meego done smoothly in your Asus 900HD laptop, after you have got your boot and main partitions set up perfectly, you will have to load MeeGo by creating a custom partition layout. Edit the properties while installing the Meego by Double clicking on the boot partition. Once you have done the above now you will have to change the mount point to: /boot and set the mount point to just: /. Then carry forward with the installation of your Meego operating system and you will surely be able to get the thing installed on your laptop.

First off all you should do the partition carefully so as to get one for the bootloader and the other one for the Meego Operating system.,before trying to install MeeGo on your laptop. Once you have done this then you will have to search the following in the Meego installer and format the main partition with the help of fat or ext in GParted, I tried changing the main partition to accumulate to the root directory "/" and to use the ext3 format through which I was able to install the Meego on my laptop without any kind of problem as such.
