If the computer starts, shows the BIOS screens and what is wrong is to load the system, we are not facing a physical failure of the computer, but to a software failure (although sometimes it may be a failure of a component Specifically, typically graphics, hard drive failure or a bad memory), but this tends to produce most of the time the typical blue screen. If it sounds when you turn one or two short beeps beeps is checking the BIOS POST, and if the problem is that they get no image on the monitor must make rigorous checks, ie see if the monitor has current (if the Power LED on the monitor) and is well connected to the computer.

We should try to check the symptoms displayed by the computer.

The first thing to do is if they run the fans and if you turn on a light or makes a noise.
If you do not do any of this the first thing to look at is the power supply, because even if the computer source does not work that should be connected.

    The checks that are done:

    • Look who is well plugged into the socket, ensuring that there is tension in that outlet.
    • If you have a switch, look this is in the correct position.

Discarded because it is a problem with the power button

    • In witness plates diode load, if the LED does not light is that the motherboard has died and not even activate the video.
    • If it is a plate without diode and the source itself that activates the LED lights we proceed as follows:

We ensure that connected the speaker system (Speak connector on the motherboard). Once done, disconnect all devices connected to the motherboard, that is, memory, graphics card (if not integrated), hard drives, floppy drives, DVD drives and everything we have. Once done return to give the Power button.
