Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 webbrowser not opens some pages

I am using the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 mostly for the purpose of checking mails, social networking and also for browsing webpages. Now my problem is there are some pages which I cannot open in my phones browser. There is no problem with some home pages but when I move inside the pages by clicking links I cannot able to see those pages. I mean the browser cannot even open the pages. I don’t care about other website. But here the phone does not open a particular page from Sony Ericsson. The page has information about Backup and restore. Can anyone tell me why?

I think that that page is regarding the update of the Backup and restore application. Due to this purpose the Phone browser does not opening. I heard that the Sony Ericsson does not offer the download of apps from the phone browser. Whatever the app you want to download for your phone you need to go to the Android Market app. If you don’t have one then get one. As far as I know it is the only method to download apps for Xperia phones. For other kind of pages it may be possible that the browser does not opens the third party sites.

It seems to me that the phones browser is taking some pages as untrusted sites. Due to this issue you cannot able to open those particular pages. Otherwise your network operator has blocked some sites due to the security purpose. What kind of connection you are using? Did you try the different connection like wifi and 3G for that? If the page is regarding the download link or any other pop ups then it might be possible that it cannot be opened in such an incompatible browser.

First of all make sure that you have opened the mobile version of webpage. Some website like SE provides mobile edition pages for mobile internet users or browsers. These kinds of pages will load very quickly in web browser other than original webpages. Always try to open those pages to save your time as well as the memory usage. Opening original pages may slowdowns the phone as well as its web browser. These pages are easy to recognize because they contain “m” letter instead of “www” at the beginning. For example m.xyx.###

It is not only about the phone browser sometime even computer web browsers are also not capable to open certain pages. But in computer you will get plugins in order to make get the compatibility of the browser. Some highly graphic enabled and different script enables pages not able to open in incompatible browser. You cannot get plugins for mobile. You usually need to uninstall previous browser and get the latest one. Otherwise update the whole phone’s software.

The page for backup and restore application download page in which you will get link for download. Sometime the Phone does not offer these kinds of page in its browser due to security reason. For download you need to use Android Market app. You have to create an account here in order to get into this app. Using that login authentication only possible to download any contents. I heard that you need to pay for some download also. I think for that reason the phone doesn’t opens the page.
