Call on hold is not working in Nokia X16

I have recently purchased Nokia X16 16 GB. I am facing a serious with my phone. When I am already talking with someone on the phone it begins to beep when other person is calling at the same time. When try to hold the first call and try to attend second call it shows that the second call is unavailable. Can anyone tell me how can I make use of Call on hold? Many thanks in advance. I am waiting for your reply.

Well its very annoying situation that you are facing with. When you are already speaking on the phone and someone else call you at the same time you can press the answer button from your screen. It will forward you to second call. As far as I know hold button is not used for this purpose instead hold button allows you to hold the line. I think you are unaware of the uses of the Hold key button. Please use my suggestion it will definitely help you to solve your issue.

I think Call waiting facility is not activated on your phone. You can follow this steps which will figure out whether the Call waiting is active or not. First of all you have to hit Menu on your phone. Now go to Settings and Calling. Now select Call and Go for Call Waiting where you will find Check Status option which will allow you to find current status of the call Waiting. So try it and let me know current status of the Call waiting.

I think I have a suggestion that you may apply in order to solve your problem. I think there is some issue with the phone. I think you should hard reset your phone and see whether the problem exists or not. Well you have to perform following steps to do hard reset. You have to press *#7370# and the 12345 is the default security code for the same. Make sure that you have taken back up of all the information that you have stored in the phone memory since hard reset erases all the information from the phone. You can restore the information once you have finished with the hard reset. I hope hard reset will solve your problem.

As per my knowledge Call waiting facility is provided by the network provider of yours. So I am suggesting you to contact your service provider. You may contact them through various communication media. You can call them and get verified by providing appropriate details. They will provide you appropriate suggestion regarding your problem. You can also visit nearest gallery to solve your issue.

Many times the problem that you have mentioned is happening due to corrupted firmware. Only solution is to upgrade your firmware with latest version. You can download the latest version of the upgrade through Nokia PC Suit. Make sure that you should take back up of the data since data is being deleted during the firmware up gradation process. It is the most reliable solution for you that I know. Wish you all the best.
