How To Silence Email Tone Alerts on Nokia E72

I have a very strange problem with my nokia E72. Well the problem is that I don’t know how to silence the email tone In E72. Earlier I had a nokia E71 and any email tone could be made silent by pressing any key. Well the same is not the case with my nokia E72. Whenever a email comes the email tone rings upto the full tone that I have set. If the email tone is 3 minutes then it will keep on ringing to full 3 minutes, so that’s why i have to keep some small ring tones for the email alert. If I keep it to vibrate mode then also it will keep on vibrating till the tone ends. So anyone having any idea how to silence the email tone by pressing any key then please do let me know as soon as possible.

Well if you are having so much problem with the email alert tone then what you can do is turn the email alert tone off. Well in order to turn the email alert tone off you have to follow these simple steps.
    1) Go to the menu option
    2) Then go to the control panel and select the settings.
    3) After that go to the general and then go to the personalization.
    4) In the personalization go to the tones and select the email alert tone and turn it off.
This option would be better so that you will never be disturbed by the email alerts.

Thanks, but I wanted to know how can we silence the email alert tone quickly. By turning the email alert off. I will not get to know whether the particular email has arrived or not. So that’s why I keep the email alert on everytime. What I want is that once the ring tone email alert rings then I can quickly put it off or in the silent mode. So that it will not keep ringing continuously. So if you have any solutions for such method then please do let me know as soon a s possible.

Well I can understand your situation. Modern phones have become more advanced and thus the feature of turning into the silent mode with a button press has gone. So different phones can have different methods to switch to the silent mode. Well what you can try is to flip the phone upside down and see whether it works or not. For that you will have to some necessary changes In the sensors. What you can do is go to the settings and In the general sensors switch to the turning control. I think that will help you. So do try with these solution and let me know if it works or not.

What you can do is that you can switch to the ring tone which is short in length. If you are not getting any solutions from the suggestion above, then only option left before you is to shorten the ring tone that you have for the email alerts. That is the much simpler solution. You can visit various websites like zedge.com for various short tones and silent tones. Do download it from there and use it in your nokia E72. I think this is a much better and a very simple solution.
