    Nokia X2 mission impossible ringtone

I am having Nokia X2 mobile phone and using it from last few days now the thing here is that yesterday I took a ringtone from my friends phone through Bluetooth and the tone was successfully saved . Now when I tried to keep the same tone as the text message alert tone then it was not letting me to do the same. I don’t know why this is happening and also can’t figure what I have to do in this case. Have anyone ever faced the same issue and if yes then please let me know how I can keep that tone as the message alert tone.

The first thing that I would like you to do here is that just see whether the ringtone is playable in the Mp3 player or not and if it is not then it is confirmed that the ringtone is corrupted and it is not playable and that is the reason why it is not letting you to keep it as the message alert tone. Now it might have happen that when you were trying to take the tone through Bluetooth the one or the other packet was misplaced here and there. So what you have to do here is that just try and get the ring tone again and this time make sure that the transaction is errorless. And before that you have to delete the ringtone that you have taken initially.

I think that the file that you have taken with the help of Bluetooth is not proper and the phone is not able to read the file. Actually the thing here is that you have to transfer the tone from the system that is nothing but from the PC. First of all you have to copy the ringtone in the system and then you have to transfer the same on your mobile phone by connecting it through the phone. I hope that this works for you and will enable you to keep the same as the message alert tone.

I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that you have to refresh the music library and then try to keep it as the ringtone. Actually it happens the newly taken tone will not come automatically in the music library and unless and until it will not come in it you can’t keep it as the ring tone. So what you have to do in this case is that just open the music player and then go to options and then select the refresh library and then it will update the whole library. I am sure that after updating the library you will find the tone and then you can set it as the message alert tone.

I was also facing the similar kind of problem where I was unable to set any tone as the ringtone and I guess you are also going through the same phase and the only way to solve this is you have to just check out in which profile you are trying to keep the ringtone actually if the profile is on silent mode then you will definitely will not be able to set any tone. Now first bring your phone in normal mode and then only keep the tone as the message alert tone. I assure you that this time it will definitely work for you.
